THE KENTUCKY GENTLEMAN

Ever wonder why we are in Iraq?
Here's the reason why.

And all this time, I thought that Clinton was the dude to start sending troops over, something about protecting our interest in
that little country that is not big enough to have a name...LOL

Clinton had nothing to do with this war.

Kit, who do you think armed and supported Sadaam Hussein? The U.S. backed him when Iraq was at war with Iran. Moreover, there are real comparisons to Vietnam. This war like Vietnam is based on a lie. Poor people die in these wars while the rich and fortune 500 corportations reap huge profits. FACT: Iraq did not attack the United States on 9/11; most of the terrorist were Saudis. The Taliban is in Afghanistan not Iraq. There were no weapons of mass destruction.
Let's really support our troops and bring them home to their families.
Peace.

I suggest you view Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11. As for Mr. Bush I voted against his father--twice; and I voted against him--twice. Enough said. The rich are not sending their sons and daughters to die in a foreign land, but they are reaping the profits. I have one word for you: Halliburton. Peace.

Kit, doesn't it make you the least bit angry that people are dying over a lie? You and I and other middle class people are spared this anguish, but those who are unemployed or too poor to afford college see the military as an option. Don't we owe them the truth?

I like you even if we don't agree. I am a liberal Democrat and you are a conservative Republican. We can agree to disagree.

The first lie was: we are going to war against Iraq because Saddam has weapons of mass destruction. Fact: no weapons of mass destruction have been found. Revisionist lie: we are in Iraq to bring the people democracy. Fact: the people are now worse off since we have torn up their country. Are these enough?

If you call destroying a country for oil "humanitarian". I have never known our government to be "humanitarian." Rwanda seems to come to mind, but I won't muddy the water.
Kit, I really like you; we have to stop meeting this way.
