I was born and raised on the west coast. And I miss the ocean. During troubled times and conflict in my earlier years I ventured out to the beach in Newport, sleeping bag in hand, a good bottle of wine, and my smokes. There were times when I woke up some mornings, drenched to the bone, covered with seaweed. Oh! The ebb of the high tides. The smell of the salt water caressing my skin...the best healing medicine a girl could ask for! The ocean had a way of taking away the pain of past wounds. I certainly saved alot of money by spending the night on the beach. There were nights that it got so bone-chillin cold I thought my nipples would fall off But DAMN! there is nothing more beautiful than listening to the lap of the waves cumming up on shore and watching the ripples on the water as the moon shines bright in the pitch black sky. And the early foggy mornings...WOW!...if you looked hard enough can see the hazy outline of a school of dolphins making their way to warmer waters The ocean is one of God's most wondrous creations. A serene and tranquil place that healed a once troubled soul like me........Dutch{=}
