I can remember the events of 5 years ago like they were happening today. I am full of sadness for the victims and their families. Tonight Woodmen is going to shine 2 beams of light into the sky around 9:00 pm as a tribute. You should be able to see them from 25 miles away. Woodmen also hung 2 giant flags from their building.

Support the troops and bring them home as fast as possible.

I saw a picture of those flags on a news website today. I wished that I lived closer so that I could see it tonight.

I too remember where I was 5 years ago. Our world changed as we know it, that day. I am not so sure that is a bad thing. A wake up call? I cannot call it that, I know I am more tolerant of safety concerns. I know our govt. and our public places must reflect this change. I will be patient at airports. I will allow a modicum of extra discomfort. We walked in the dim light of a path strewn with danger and with animosity. Time to start watching our step. Time to stop being the world police. Let's take care of home and defend our soil. To hell with the rest of the fanatics, religious and otherwise. Take care of our own!

Great Post Diggin! I was listening to the radio today and it was playing voice recordings of some of the victims, or the people near the buildings that day. It was so terrible to hear the fear in their voices, you could just feel how terrifying it was. My hats off to all of the families that survived that pain and suffering. And, yes...Bring our Troops home safely.
