I think there is probably always anticipation before meeting someone, even for those of us who only wanted NSA relationships. This is pretty much how things happened for me...with the speculation (that it was crazy and he couldn't feel the same), consternation (fear of love, of being loved, of not being loved, of "dying" if I admitted love), and hesitation (to disclose my feelings and even to feel them) overlapping the revelation (that he is the most awesome man I have ever met & the man I dreamed of), affection, adoration, and devotion (all beyond the depth I had ever felt before) but probably beginning right after the realization (that even though it was crazy for me to have these feelings, I couldn't help it). I am really glad I got to communication (telling him exactly how I feel) and confirmation (that he felt similar--though this was NOT expected) so that we could finally achieve resolution (not leaving things unsaid) and satisfaction.

I do have to admit that the consternation is not completely over because I fear the ultimate--rejection, termination, and/or devastation (which can and usually do happen). This is especially difficult for me since I have never experienced feelings like this before, but I probably just need to relax and enjoy whatever happens because even if we don't take this to another level, I will always love him.

What's next?

Perhaps, "Domination" *~*wicked grin*~* (of me, not by me, of course)...so long as it's not, "Devastation," all will be well. (But, then we do know that is usually next...) Either would be BLACK in color. By the way, I had written something to go along with this poem, but I have been too busy studying like a "good" girl.
