Yet one more

Yet one more disappointment after another. Life certainly does hand down some heavy shit. How does someone handle this? Do we lay down and give up? Do we stand up and scream "no way! I'm not taking this!" Do we bend over and grab andles for yet another one? Everyday decisions need to be made. Everyday choices are offered. Who knows if you've made the right ones. Everyday offers yet one more.

And yet to live your life without making decisions is insanity itself. You decide your path. Each decision ripples out changing everything else. Right or left? Stop or go? Should I eat the chicken or the fish? In the end you have to be willing to be wrong. Because only then can you learn from what has come before.

25 years ago I was friendly with a women who as the age I am now (50). She had been divorced three times, had a problem teenage son and was working at a job far below her capabilities. I once asked her how she continued. She said she just put one foot in front of the other.

Now that I have been through the wringer a few time I realize that this is a good lesson. The trick is figuring out which direction to go.

You can stand up and scream. I won't shut you off.

You can go with the flow till you regain some sanity.

You can share with friends and family.

One thing that may help is to seek fun diversions. You have started by setting up this blog.

I will be happy to help divert you with some verbal banter and a bit of wit.

What diversions would you like to explore?

I guess when you distill life to its lowest common denominators they are time and people--Trying to find the right people to spend time with is really what it is all about.

Very insightful, but you must a some point stand up for your beliefs, to not make a stand leaves the door/gate open for the waters to rush in. Your Heart can guide you to present your side but your "Clear Head" must be the overall decision maker that verbally presents your feeling in an appropriate way so as to not to come off as sounding like a hurt little brat looking for revenge for the unconsiderate attitude that was presented to you. MAKE A STAND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT,JUST PRESENT IT WELL!

So, um, exactly what are you going through, Chandler Ann? You're smart and write perfectly - none of this "I-M-HOTT-4U" garbage - so what are you hoping for? How did you wind up here? I'd like to give you a gift certificate of some sort to help out, but I'm not sure if you need a book, a CD, a cup of coffee or a good Italian dinner. I just signed up here, so I'm not even sure how "all of this" is supposed to work! Have you considered listening to Rachmaninoff's "Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini"? Or maybe the opening movement of Mahler's Eighth Symphony.

Everyone has choices to make . You do the best you can and go with it.They never gave us a manual when we were in school. probably because they were where we are now ,or they were pissed at us and somehow this amused them.
