Phone sex

Phone Sex

I just got off the phone. We just hung up, after 1 1/2 hours. I was talking to she-who-must-not-be-named.

I was on the phone for a frickin' hour and a half!

Now, I have to tell you, I wouldn't stay on the phone for more than a minute or two if my doctor called to tell me I had two weeks left to live. I'd say, "OK." and hang up. If a buddy called to tell me I won the lottery, I'd say, "Thanks for the call." and I'd hang up. If my deceased mother called to say hello, I'd say, "Thanks for calling Mom. I miss you." and I'd hit the disconnect button.

I have a theory why men hate the phone and women have an ongoing love affair with it:

When we were young boys, the telephone was an object of abject terror. We would stare at that evil appliance for hours on end before we got up the nerve to actually dial the number of the girl we wanted to ask for a date. We kept our finger at the ready, in close proximity to the hang-up button, in case her father or, God forbid, one of her brothers or sisters, happened to answer. (Mom's were generally pretty cool.)

Girls, on the other hand, sat by the phone for hours, terrified it would not ring. They actually bonded with the phone by spending so much time next to it.
Anyway, as I said, I actually carried on a semi-intelligent conversation tonight for 90 whole minutes.

You might ask, what did we talk about? We discussed some important stuff, we shoveled the dirt about some things I don't even recall now (and remember, we just hung up). We talked about this. We hashed over that. We conjectured about us. We ventilated about ex-lovers; we speculated on new ones. We compared notes on relatives. We considered social diseases and pubic hair. We discussed how we relate to other people. We gabbed about people we don't even know. We gossiped, for God's sake!

I'm normally taciturn, but tonight I actually enjoyed talking for nearly two hours.

I think, truth be told, I just loved hearing her voice.

What makes you think I was talking to Rosie? And even if it was Rosie, I think the whole world knows who is semi-intelligent.

Probably the longest conversation I have had is with a male friend. He is just so damn funny. We started on IM, and got tired of typing so I called him since I have free long distance. It all started at 10:00 p.m. of course with potty breaks here and there and god all of sudden he says I think I am going to fall asleep on the phone what time is it. It was 4:00 in the morning. Within a minute his alarm went off, thats what time he gets up to go to work. He was suppose to visit that night. He did and man was he dead tired.

We still joke about it alot but we made this pack, no more of that during the week or the night before he visits..I usually watch the clock talk 10 minutes and then tell him to go to bed so he will be awake when he gets here

I'm still trying to work up the nerve to call back some high-school dates for that "follow-up call"!

rotfl, I remember long talks mostly in person with guy friends from this site. We would sit and talk about everything under the sun, but mostly it was nothing but gossip. LOL sadly too many people think this is a bad thing. But its not really. Gossiping can be malicious or fun. It just depends on you.

Yasmine, an email is on it's way. I can't wait to get your number. You are so exotic, and I love exotic women. You just have to promise to keep this secret from Rosie, OK?
