What do you believe?

Sometimes when there’s nothing going on I read & respond to posts at one of many Ex-Christian sites on the ‘Net. The prevailing view among many conservative Christians seems to be that people who choose not to be Christian are a bunch of atheists and hedonists. That is, they leave the faith to become free to pursue carnal pleasure and what not.

That got me thinking. AdultFriendFinder is chocked full of hedonists, wannabe hedonists, and others pursuing carnal pleasure and what not. Why not ask them?

So I put it to you dear reader, what do you believe?

Select which group below most closely resembles your personal beliefs.

Suggestion for further comment:

Describe how your views on sexuality mesh with your beliefs.

I would love to believe that when I die I will live again, that some thinking, feeling, remembering part of me will continue. But as much as I want to believe that, and despite the ancient and worldwide cultural traditions that assert an afterlife, I know of nothing to suggest that it is more than wishful thinking.
--Carl Sagan

"It is an interesting and demonstrable fact, that all children are atheists and were religion not inculcated into their minds, they would remain so."
--Ernestine Rose

"We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further."
--Richard Dawkins

There are none more ignorant and useless, than they that seek answers on their knees, with their eyes closed.

"It's an incredible con job when you think of it, to believe something now in exchange for life after death. Even corporations with all their reward systems don't try to make it posthumous."
--Gloria Steinem

"If atheism is a religion, then not collecting stamps is a hobby."

"If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed." --Albert Einstein

Those quotes are fantastic! I'm familiar with many, but not all of them. The one I like the best is "If atheism is a religion, then not collecting stamps is a hobby." Good stuff! Thanks!
