Weigh in Day- Week Two

The results of my 2nd week weigh were pretty good. I have started doing some walking. Something I have come to look forward to.

I walk down an out of the way road- that extends from US Highway 206, down to a New Jersey Turnpike maintenance warehouse.

It is a bitch. Gravity is a very unyielding . Up is what it is all about. This picture doesn't do the elevation drop justice. All I know is the burn in my legs,butt and lungs feels pretty good. The first day I didn't make it all the way. A week later I am doing three trips up and down and will move on to four today.

Start off weight 263
Weigh in Last week-259
Today's weigh in - 255

Total weight loss- 8 Pounds

Also, my blood pressure has gone from an average 140 over 100 to 130 over 88. Since starting the walking.

That is another 4 pound drop, eight total which is equivalent to carrying one less bowling ball around.

I cheated pretty bad on Thursday. Gave in and ordered a batch of buffalo wings and breaded mushrooms from Cluck U Chicken. Also enjoyed Filet Mignon at Easter dinner with my sisters yesterday.

Just goes to show you that with exercise, a little slip here and there doesn't have to be devastating to weight loss.

I'm aware this is just the starting sprint to what becomes a marathon. Two years ago I lost 83 pounds. 303 down to 220. Then within a 13 month span I lost my father and then my mother. Went back to the old behaviors, and in all honesty still haven't completely gotten completely back on track.

Baby steps and diligence. Soon the weight loss will go into 2 to 1 pound a week. I remember weeks when I was perfect with my program and didn't lose a ounce. But on those weeks you just see no weight gain as the win.

Big difference this time is the exercise. The difference it makes. I just took my blood pressure. 123 over 82. Pulse 86. Not bad for a 44 year old fat boy!!

Before I started walking it was always betweeen 140/150 over 95/105 with a pulse of 90 to 95.
