Time for Cleansing

I am so mentally burnt out lately. And current events have taken a great toll.

I think I need to cushion myself from the hate, anger and violence that perverts this world.

I am an all out news junkie. The first thing I do in the morning is check out the Drudge Report. That is before my morning pee. Then from there either FoxNews, Aljazeera USA, oops I mean CNN, CSpan is on the television in my shop or in my room.

I have the news on when I blog, I have the news on when I workout, I have the news on when I have sex sometimes!!! Well actually most the time. That really used to bother little sugar.

Could you imagine a man licking away at your sweet little rosebud and suddenly stop because something on the news caught his attention!! Did it to Little Sugar when Chaney shot the lawyer!!! You have to admit that was one funny assed human event.

But anyway, I really need to isolate myself from all this madness. It is wearing away at my soul. A dear friend of mine, Mecca, is very in tune with the energy that is within us all.

I stopped by her place the other day and without me saying a word her reaction to our hug was, eewwwwwww. I thought I stunk but she said my aura was taken over by negativity. She said I needed a cleansing. I thought maybe that meant I was going to get some action, but silly me.

No.... Mecca's idea of cleansing is fasting, meditating, and isolating oneself from all negative things. Now she knows the first two would be very unlikely so she told me to concentrate on number three. I still think a good roll in the hay would have worked wonders. But what do I know, she is the clairvoyant.

So for at least the next two weeks my only source of news will be a peak at Drudge in the morning and before I go to bed. No television news, no talk radio, and no other online news. I am setting up email warnings for my stocks, just in case something runs out of control there so I don't even have to deal with them.

I have hope this will open me up to other things. I am actually looking forward to this.

So if any of you hear me bitch about a current event, put me in my place. Even us single guys need a little guidance from a good lady here and there. Once again, another understatement!!!

To clarify..is this when you bitch about current events or when you any mention of them?

Any mention!!! Any word. And my friend Mecca has corrected me on the peaks at Drudge. Tried to slip that one in there. Can't even do that.

What to do, what to do..... sitting here fiddling with my fingers.

Sweetie that's why I DON'T watch the news very often! The guys at work are news junkies and have it on sometimes but I hardly ever do. I have enough negativity in my life without it. I do keep up with what's going on in a general way...I just DON'T need all the sordid details!

I'm with Huny!!!
I think the last time I read, listened, or watched any news related event was more than two months ago. And it was accidental. I choose a news free life thank you. The most "news" coverage I get is right here in blogland, and even then, I barely skim through it. It is never anything that enhances my life and I'd really rather stay the happy, carefree (or at least as close as possible) person I am. There is enough "news" worthy drama under my own roof. I don't need the rest of the world's drama too.

I could never have the news on and have sex at the same time... too distracting.
