Why is it?

This inspired by greatguyintul blog and his post [post 248338]

Why is it?

Why is it every morning I can get up at 6 a.m?
But I can’t do my treadmill

Why is it every day the first thing I do when my feet hit the floor is go right to the coffee pot?
But I can’t do my treadmill

Why is that I shave my arm pits everyday, brush my teeth, wash my face, pack my lunch
But I can’t do my treadmill

Tell me, Tell me, why is it that I can’t do my treadmill everyday? Why?!!

I am considering getting hypnotized so I workout at least 30 minutes a day. Have any of you ever been hypnotized and if so why? And most importantly, did it work?

After reading his post, I will be doing my treadmill everyday Go check it out!!

Purry, perhaps the reason is because exercise is the tool of the devil. well, thats what i would think at 6 am anyway. as an exerciser/marathoner myself i suggest finding a new dedicated time to do your workout. i find right after work is good for getting that post cubicle stress out. Sometimes, when my world is not this horrible ice covered wasteland (otherwise known as winter up here)i go for a run on lunch hour - really breaks the day up nice, but having a shower at work helps. sometimes i switch the routine to going to the gym after dinner - that way i feel less like a vegetble as compared to my oft routine of sitting in front of the tv watching hockey.

Hey Purry! It's for the same reason I can't seem to get on my Glider every morning. Somewhere inside you know that you want to do it, but there is also a little voice telling you, "why bother? it won't work." That's how it is for me anyhow. So, as of today, my good friend and I are going to hit the gym at least twice a week together. Hell, it doesn't cost us anything, (we're military and the gym is on base! ) and we have nothing to lose but weight! We just realized that what we lacked was someone to push us along. So, good luck and I know you can do it! As fas as the hypnotizing thing goes, heck no, I don't trust people enough !

Exercise is a difficult habit to start w/o adequate motivation. I find suspending a good beer from the ceiling, just out of reach, really motivates me to double-time that treadmill!

Not that I particularly need the extra workout. Walking to the fridge and back is exercise, isn't it..?

Been a while since they last let me out into polite society. Resurfacing, catching a breath, & catching up.

And while I got my Broad-Brimmed Pimping Hat on, could I cajole all of y'all to Comment on, Alone In A Cloud? It's probably the best thing that I've written!

Maybe in a previous life you suffered a horrible treadmill accident which left the previous you a drooling mass of repugnant humanity unable to feed yourself, totally dependant on a sadistic nurse named Helga. The past life memories of the torture you suffered makes you subconciously unable to bring yourself to go near the object which has caused you so much pain.
Then again, maybe not, I dunno.
