What Are You Doing Today?

Just curious as to what everyone is doing for Mother's Day today?????

We are having crabs and a bbq. This seems to be becoming a tradition for us. The only thing is....I am still doing the cooking ?????? LOL!

Maybe the guys will do the dishes.

So what are you doing today?

then I'm going to worrk for a while ( self employed so I get to keep my own hours )
then I'm going to go visit my mom................wait a minute!....you didn't direct that question to mothers only did you....? .............cum to think of it I've been called one many times in the past, so I guess that gets me off the proverbial hook if you are.......... Happy Mothers Day

Going over my sister's house for a nice Sunday dinner. It's my niece's birthday too. Talk about a Mothers Day present, huh?

I am invited to my nephew and niece's home every year for Mother's Day. She is a fabulous cook and prepares a huge Mother's Day feast for her Mom, her Grandmother, her Mother-In-Law (my sister) and me as the honored guests. Until my mother passed away, she was always included too of course. I think it's a wonderful thing for her to do for us. I don't get to visit with them often anymore and I always enjoy it. They have a three year old son and a seven year old son....needless to say I get my fill of all that energy very quickly! lol

Happy Mother's Day Purry!

Well... I have to work tonight.
But, anyways, it's not as though she really wants to spend time with us anymore. She had already had plans to go out of town today... and didn't seem to want to do anything with us yesterday. She has been quite distant to us (sister and lately, even if we try to contact her.

I've taken care of one little "honey-do", and plan to tackle another in a while. My mother's 600 miles away, so got an e-mail. Mother in law is more like 650 miles away, gets greetings relayed via sister in law. Grandmothers are long gone. No kids here, so wife just gets the "honey-do" jobs done.

Ha, we ordered out and made the men clean up afterwards. The best part was we put the baby between the guys and my mom and I ate in peace! Honey

I did the dutiful son routine...while in Raleigh, I called my mom on the phone (she was at the beach..go figure).

I didn't speak to her directly....but later, my cell phone beeped...it was her....all I could hear was, "Hello? Hello? Who is this?"

Alas, Purry, tell the lady in the photograph she's gorgeous. Well actually, now that you mention it, I'm fooling around today [actually yesterday, as well]: how about you, my liege? If you humored me for a split-second, that could no doubt be the wildest split-second of my entire life. Would you generally prefer a kiss or an artichoke? Indeed ... perhaps some creativity would be in order, my liege? Yet had you not somehow considered the BODY LANGUAGE in the picture? STUFF HAPPENS! Love endures!

Few among us are as bright as out mother thinks we are,
or as dumb as our mother-in-law thinks we are.

Well, I too had to cook. I made breakfast for the inlaws. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be I made homemade waffles, bacon , sausage, and scrambled eggs.

Hmmm 1st I want to say that both pictures on your blog are absoflipping lutely beautiful. then I will add that I bought my wife a card and not having a mother helped her celebrate her day with the kids. I am a firm believer that all women are mothers by nature or nurture heh heh so I would help any woman celebrate such an auspicious occasion
