What's the Worst Day You Ever Had?

I am having one of those weeks really where I just am in a slump and everything bothers me. I am cranky and just want to sleep!!!!

I woke up with a bad headache and tummy ache yesterday and have another headache today. I know, I know, stop bitching Purry, but I am just in a funk. I have all these demands on me at work and at the same time want to be home with my kids.

Everything is pissing me off. Today, I had to drive Sail's beat up old pick up truck to work because he had to use my car to pick up his boss and co-workers. They are here out of town on business. I dont mind he is using my car, but I do mind when I go around the corner, the damn door on the truck flies open, the windows won't open, and the truck fills up with gas fumes because there is no F***ing muffler! No wonder I have a headache!!! I swear I am gonna go drive that thing off of a cliff so he cant drive it anymore! (I would jump out first )

I am just cranky! Pfffft! I was out sick yesterday and not a single soul I work with asked me how I was feeling today. Pffft. But that doesn't surprise me any. Most of the people I work with hate me anyway. Never understood why because I am so nice and am a team player. I think it is jealousy, anyways...makes it hard to go to a place day after day when you know most of the people don't like you

I came home earlier than normal because I got up at the crack of dawn and went in early and was so looking forward to sitting on the back porch and ended up being chauffeur to my daughter's entire softball team for practice. Try getting 5 teenagers in a two man pick up! Errggggg.

I need a drink, a nice warm bath, massage, and a bottle of wine!!!

What's the worst day you have ever had?

Oh Purry - My grams would say, "This too shall pass." How cliche, so I'll just say I'm sending you back rubs and hopes that the bottle of wine is laying empty by the tub.

Oh i feel your pain Purry!!! HOPE THE REST OF THE WEEK GOES BETTER!!!
My worst day was the day my car was broken into woke up it had stormed the night before the unstealable cd player was gone the car was soaked from the rain, i still had to go to work that day and the window cost me over a 1,000 to replace cause i had a old style sports car with a funky shape window and the insurance said we aren't paying for it!!!! Then on top of it getting kicked outta class cause i was late because i was talking to the cops and missed a quiz!!
No worries the professor let me retake the quiz the next day after i talked to her.

When the kids are tucked in and hubby is nodding, count your blessings and go to sleep secure in the knowledge that you are truly loved by many. Now that you've vented, it wasn't that bad a day was it?

There isn't much worse than having to wake up every day and go off to a job that you hate, or to work with people you dislike, or to a place that generally makes you unhappy. As for the rest of it, I can't relate, but it sure sounds like a pian in the neck! (Or lower )

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

Oh! not you too Purry. This funk bug is very invasive and seems to be spreading around blogland.
Hope the bath, massage and the wine helped.
I'm just out of the funk so i'd rather not remember the worst day I've ever had.

Just put the softball team in the bed of the truck.

What was my worst day? The day I got drafted? Or the day I got busted?. The day I got married? (JUST KIDDING). I've had a bunch of 'em. Most were usually after the night before. Joe

I have had three very bad days and I am sorry but i can not distinguish between them. I have 2 boys and can remember three specific times either of them has experienced great disappointment. Tears in a son's eyes are crushing.

Sorry it's been such a bad day, Purry ...... things can only get better. May the rest of the week be kind to you sweetie.

Many years ago, being in acute abdominal pain, thinking I might die - and at least that would be a relief, living in hill-country miles away from anywhere. Being with my partner when she was diagnosed as having cancer. After that other bad days seem to pale a little in their awfulness.

warm xx

Hope your day is better.. I don't know how I missed this post yesterday.. now thats a bad day

one of my worse day in short..down sized to a smaller home after the kid left..we had no choice but to rent movers and a huge truck $$$ you know the pain of packing and packing.. anyways we get to the new home and the previous owners thought they had two weeks left.. had not packed a thing. We had several discussions before hand..I thought i was on candid camera..I know this is not a tragedy.. but i think 10 yrs of pint up bitchdom came out all in one day.

Have a wonderful restful, playful week

Purry, I know you've had a bad day, and week there. But count your blessings if that's been your worst day. There are lots of worse things that could happen, involving deaths in the family, etc. I don't even want to think of my worst day. And as someone mentioned, think of the Katrina victims - now THERE was a worst day!

Cheer up - things pass over. Go give Sail a hug. Eat some chocolate. See a funny movie and get your mind off things.

My worst day was the day my father died. Sorry it's such a downer, but YOU asked.

You can fix that truck door with one or more of the following: duct tape, baling wire, cash or credit. Just be careful, though: a friend's husband went out one day to get new tires for his truck, and got a whole new truck to go with them. LOL.

When do we get the nude pictures of u and Sail?

I've got your massage all planned out already.

Have Sail hit my blog and then go on a run for supplies if you don't already have them.

Tell him to look for look for "legs, relaxed".

Not much to do with head or tummy aches but it should work pretty well as a distraction, if the other ladies' feedback is indicative of women in general.

In my desire to make you feel better I forgot the question.

My worst day started when she began reading the 12 page statement that ended with the announcement of our (ongoing, unchanging, and no longer hopeful) separation, and continues to right now.

Ah, I remember that dark day, very well. It was the day I didn't have sex. I swore right then and there it would Never happen again. And I keep My promises, even to Myself.
But... be careful about what you wish for. Sometimes there's a mad scrample by all before midnight, and having to have sex even when sick, can really become quite a chore sometimes. *winking*

pk2, 10/8/04- 5am, headed into the j-o-b, my mother's home nurse called to let me "talk" to her. i was going to visit the next day (live about 475 miles away). mom kinda grunted and groaned (terminal stomach cancer) unintelligibly over the phone. told her i loved her and would be there tomorrow. 5:30 am nurse called to say mom had passed away.

Hmmmm an upset Purry...thats not good. How bout bad days when they happened but funny now? 1) 32 stitches in my left butt cheek and an all female staff at the ER...with the exception of the one poor guy that had to clean up my ass. 2) The cable going out seconds before the Bulls were about play the game to clinch one of the Championships. (I'm in Chicago and the wife's a rabid fan) Took me three stores before i could find a set of rabbit ears. 3) (and you'll like this one the best) Ex wife took my old beat up work truck to the grocery store and the tailgate fell completely off the truck when she went to put the groceries in. She had to pick it up and throw it into the back of the truck and drive it home like that. Not really a bad day for me but I knew from the fire coming out of her eyes at the time that it was a bad day for her.
Hope I made ya feel a little better hun.

Worst day of my life began with a cup of truly magnificent coffee, listening to a truly boring and trite speech by a JP Morgan guy.

Then a fucking plane hit the building. You may have heard about the incident.

I was manager of a discount store. It was a newly opened store, the first of a new company prototype layout. Two weeks after our grand opening, I called my district manager and told him I needed to clear out my stockroom and I was going to take one day, pull all the freight to the floor, have everyone work on putting as much as they could on the shelves, and then move it all back, organized so we could find shit. We started at 4 AM. At 4 PM I went out for a sandwich. Everything had gone smoothly and we had started moving the shit back to the stockroom. At 4:10 PM one of my assistant managers came running into the deli to get me. The PRESIDENT of the company decided to 'drop by' and he was PISSED!!! He left before I got back at 4:15 PM. The next day my District Manager denied I had ever spoken to him about the plan to clean out the store. Two days later, a Vice President dropped by. He called the President and told him it was the most organized store in the company. When the President asked to speak to me, I said "Yes, it is a beautiful store. We have sold more the past three days than we did on our grand opening week. Now, why don't you drop by tomorrow and SUCK MY DICK asshole!!" He fired me. The company went bankrupt.

Hey Purry! At the moment I can't recall my worst day ever and I don't really want to spend the energy trying to remember! It's been a while since I commented, though, so I just wanted to stop by and say hello.

I hope you're doing better today! Cheer up you sexy thing!

That moment for me is so private and intense that I choose not to relive it as it did not happen to long ago. It has changed my life forever even as I struggle to move on with the pain and disappointment. I will never tell a living soul the details for as long as I live. I work every day to erase the pain and hurt. The only thing that stopped me from giving up was the thought of my child and wanting to be there for his future and hope he will never suffer the same indignation. I have yet to even begin to allow my trust to run free with another human being.
