Week 2-Still Jobless

Well today starts week 2 of being jobless, but I do have a few good leads and am hopeful that the one will turn into me starting work on Monday. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED!!

The good news is that this time has given me some time to sign up for some college courses and pursue my degree, which not having one has always bothered me.

Wish me luck on my placement test today

Hey Purry - stay positive. Just got my job yesterday - which is why the profile and blog are now gone. You'll get one - don't worry. And the more you do the interviews - the more comfortable you will become with the whole process. Sometimes it just takes time. And if you get the degree - that's awesome.

How is the house cleaning going?

Go knock em dead! You'll do great and a big CONGRATULATIONS on going back to school. I'm 33 and working on my Master's so don't let all those teeny bobbers discourage you! You'll do great!

Purry....good luck on that placement test! Just answer something on each question even if you have to take a guess! And you'll get the perfect job before you know it. Staying home is fun......for a day! Then you see all the things that need cleaned....and you don't have any money to go shopping to get away and ignore it! lol

Oh, good luck on your placement test! I hope you ace it.

As for jobs, I've got my fingers and toes crossed for you! I'd cross my legs, but my twig and berries are in the way!

Good luck with the job search, and the education quest. "They" claim there are jobs out there. Hopefully there's one in your area that fits you. Education is usually a good thing. Having most of the credits for a degree but not the degree is the pits, as my wife can attest. It took me several months, a big pile of letters, and several interviews to find a job as I was finishing my PhD from one of the top-ranked engineering schools in the whole USA, 21 years ago now.

Good luck zPurry, not that you'll need it. We KNOW you'll do great. The degree is important only as far a job requirements and making you feel better. It won't change your true worth one bit. You'll still be Purry Kitty, and we'll all still love ya. You've proven your wit and intelligence here far too many times. Joe
