My Apple Cart Got Tossed

Well today was a sad day, but being the positive person I am, I will welcome the loss of my job with open arms hoping it will bring new opportunities.

The company I have been with for 7 years closed today and poor ole' Purry got her layoff papers so starting tomorrow I got hit the ground running.

Wish me well! I may not be blogging so much because who knows what freedom I will have

They can't do that. Should we all form and descend and make them reopen? My bet is that you find something even better in no time flat!

You could look at this as a blessing. Perhaps it's someone's way of telling you to blog more.

Awww....Purry,,,, Pounding the pavement sucks, but sometimes when one door closes, another opens.

Good luck...that positive attitude radiates and employers sense it. You'll latch somewhere in no time.

I lost a job 2 years ago. Company went under. I took the summer off then did some part time maintainence for my landlord. When the new company moved into the old building I got in on the ground floor. Been there a year as of today. Good luck. Shortdogg

Having no choice in the matter can make it frustrating. But did you have anyone there at work that you thought would be fun to play with? Now there isn't any reason why you could maybe get together. You even have a good pick up line in that you would like to meet to talk about the old job. Good Luck

Sorry to hear that. Hope you have good luck finding something even better.

And, hey, Purry--you never know, as a sideline business (and with you it'd probably be so successful it'd turn full time) you should sell sex toys! You could have ... yard sales. Yeah, that's it!

Hope that at least made you smile a little.

The loss of a job may sting a bit, but there's always something better out there. If your an optimist, a mover and a shaker, good things wll follow your positive actions. Best of luck, and enjoy your time off!

Don't worry Purry, you're in a good area to find GOOD positions. And MD unemp isn't too bad. Good luck on your job search, although since it is you, you won't need it. You'll do GREAT. Joe

Sounds like party time to me. Apply for unemployment, get Sail to pick up your checks and you head for Florida to party with all your friends down here all summer. Your always welcome at the Beaver's door wherever she's parked.

Gee and we're being told that our economy is looking up. Up where? Cheney's ass? But don't worry Purry, like I said earlier, you'll come out of this just fine. Trust the old man on this one. Joe

On another note...having you in my network is THE BEST! There's always some new great photo of you on my page! My computer room gets brighter when your smile is on my monitor1 You just exude class. Sail's a lucky, lucky man.

Yep, I agree with you on this one. Although discouraging to
loose a job you held for 7 years, you were looking for a job
when you found this one.

Great luck to ya~!

perhaps we in blogland can help. We've an idea of who you are and what you're good at. How much money do you expect and require and what hours would you be available? Is travel out of the question?

I've a few suggestions now but will wait for the parameters first?

Are coronas for lunch a must?

Good luck Purry!

I'm sure you'll be back into the workforce soon! You have an upbeat personality and I'm sure that in itself will knock the employers socks off!

I've been at the same company for 20+ years myself and I'd be devastated if I became unemployed.

Best Wishes!

Dear Mz. Kitty

I think the tiki bar is the perfect fit for you. You already make the place a haven for partiers, so why not get paid for it. You could expand the customer base as well with your blogs and have people arriving from far and wide. (this will assure a good computer and spacious office)
You could easily meet your salary requirements, you've got the perfect name and Coronas would just make the whole place more fun.

let me know when you start?
