Your inspiration

One thing that I find very interesting on this site are the very first posts of bloggers. You can learn so much about a person by flipping back through their blog. Some will tell you the reason they decided to start blogging. With others its just cool to see how their writing has evolved. So, I would like to pose a couple questions to all you bloggers out there...

What inspired you to begin blogging?
How long have you been writing your blog?

Just to be fair I will share first.
I began writing a blog towards the end of 2005, my husband and I were seperated and I was going through a really confusing, stressful time in my life. I wanted an outlet. A place that could change with my mood. Somewhere that I could just let out whatever was going on. Those first couple posts showed just how confused I was at that time and for several reasons they are now hidden. My life is still pretty stressful, but then again who's isn't. I find now that reading the blogs of others is a great stress relief as well. Some are hilarious, others are sad and still others are totally inspiring, just like life.

Update: just after I wrote this I found a very well written post regarding the reasons for being on this site as well as for blogging by fantasylover_05 entitled [post 286862] . It's definately worth checking out.

The blogs can be a TERRIFIC outlet..

you can write out your thoughts and feelings and get double benefits... the benefit of simply organizing your own thoughts in order to write it down can be very liberating..

and secondly... it can be very supportive here in Blogville and the positive feedback can be soooo helpful.. and sometimes even the "not so positive" feedback will kick us in the ass and make us think!!

Thanks for dropping by my little corner of Blogville and you are of course welcome to link if you desire! I am thrilled you may have found something worthwhile there!

Keep writing and finding FREEDOM and clarity Mari!!

I agree Miss Mari...It is soooo interesting getting a glimpse of peoples lives or better yet their souls. Some are so truly real and raw. The emotion is a bit overwhelming at times. Yet quite funny as well. I like reading the blogs because I feel like we are all neighbors just chatting away. It's funny how different we are...cause my better 1/2 and I like the site for different reasons. We both have different communities on the same site....and to me THAT'S amazing. I started Blogging cause I had something to say and it seems as if people want to hear it. Thanks for your insight!!!

I started to blog because of my friends. I have few but very supportive one. I have had such an unusual and interesting life (according to them) that I should take the time and write it all down and maybe produce a book. I am somewhat disorganised, so I decided to capture each memory as a still frame and then I can but all the pieces together once they are all written down.
Now that I blog, I'm hooked. I use it as an outlet to deal with issues that have been pent up.
