Just Talking About the Weather..

The weather..always seems to be a safe topic. Shouldn't find any controversy here..nothing to argue about..or get anyone pissed off about. But then you never know..do you?

Anyway..it's cooled off here. Before that cooling off yesterday..temperatures were above normal for this time of year..in the upper 80's. I think there was even a day or two it hit the lower 90's.

I love summer..but 70-75 is the temperature I prefer. Anything hotter than that is too hot. I can't even go out and sit naked in the back yard after dark any more. They've put up a light in the alley..that sheds too much light. Oh well.

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the rich golds..yellows..oranges and reds. But then comes winter..my least favorite.

Do you live in a climate where they have all four distinct seasons?

What is your favorite time of the year?

Oh hell, Kiss, global warming. It's been a while since we've had a true spring here in Delaware. I love all seasons, really. I find beauty and pleasure in all of them. But I DO miss a true springtime. Joe

As for that fricking street light that is bothering you, what do you think rocks are for? They didn't ask you, before they put the light up there, so you don't have to ask them before you throw a rock at it. I'm kidding of course. Just go ahead and sit in your own back yard nekkid, if someone is offended, then they can avert their eyes.

And see, i DID get the political shot in. (global warming) You'd like it here, no neighbors. We can sit naked on our deck anytime. And we do, Joe

LOL! actually the weather can be very controversial ... depending on if you think global warming is real or not

My favourite time of year is autumn -- March in Cape Town is sooo lovely. Yes, the weather is mostly in four distinct season, with odd "freak" days here and there to shake things up!

Fall is my favorite part of the year
in the Midwest too! But in the
Mediterenean I prefer the dry summer.

Down here in southern Arizona we sort of have 5 seasons, the Winter is mild and it rains a little, Spring is mellow if there's been rain the previous winter...we get lots of wildflowers. Last winter, n rain, no flowers. Fall is when it cools off. But we have 2 summers...dry summer (May to July 1) where it gets 100+ every day, but the humidity is very low..we call it "dry heat". But starting July through into September we have a monsoon...its gets really humid, lows at nightin the 80's and 90's huighs 100s, and thunderstorms over the mountains (great light shows). People that can get away from the heat and humidity do...usually to San Diego for at least a week.

Well Kiss, We have been above average 19 days this year so far, (Damn that Global Warming) I too agree with the 70-75 except at work, then it needs to be 50-55. But Like you my preferred time is autumn, for the hunting season. But I think my fave is springtime... After what seems like 8 months of a cold and dead world, I love the sights of rebirth

Oh, Kiss, you are a woman after my own heart. I adore autumn more than any natural miracle. A time of year when the word "crisp" takes on new meaning. A time when comfort, color and calmness intercept to form a perfection indescribable. Of all the seasons, autumn wins by a landslide. On the opposite end of the spectrum is summer. I detest any forecast that includes an "H" word - Hot, Humid, Hazy. I'd rather dig out from a nor'easter blizzard than deal with a summer heat wave. It's nearly mid-June, and it's still mid-40's and raining here in Connecticut at night. We've barely touched 80 at all. Everyone I know is pissed. I'm delighted. Less than 3 months til Labor Day! God I love fall. No, I mean it... I LOVE fall. No.. I MEAN it!!!

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

Hey Kiss
If you have some time for reading, check out the "waikato honey research unit". It is in New Zealand. Hope it helps.

Springtime..been awhile since I've actually seen a true] one..the blossoms..the building up to the warmer weather. Seems like the last few years..it's winter..then suddenly summer heat.

2nd comment..You're lucky you have the freedom to do that. Something about letting the skin breath..that's very healthy.

Would love to sit in my backyard..in spite of that light. It was something I enjoyed doing..in the heat of summer. But..they arrest people for things like that. There's enough busy bodies in the neighborhood..who wouldn't just avert their eyes.

Well..I was trying to stay away from controversy with this topic..but so much for trying.

Someday..I'd love to see the colors of autumn in your country.

Sounds like it rains..a lot. Flowers..butterflies..colorful birds..sunshine?? I'm getting a rather dismal image of Washington State.

Spring is my second favorite..when we actually have one. The blossoms of the apple and plum trees..used to be quite beautiful. Haven't seen any in years.

Don't like the winter..they can get pretty harsh here in Minnesota.

2nd comment...
Thank you again. I'll check out the Waikato Honey Research Unit.

I agree with you about the humidity. I hate it.

Your description on some of your posts..about the Mediterranean..tell of the beauty to be found there. Hopefully..one day I'll be able to see for myself.

I've heard about the beauty of the desert in your part of the country. I'm thinking of possibly moving to Arizona. However..the heat is a big question mark for me.

As I recall..you work with metal..ores..and do welding in your work..right? So can appreciate you wanting lower temps.

Yes..the crispness of an autumn morning..taking a walk when the sun has just begun to play in the trees..makes me feel alive..energized.
I know exactly what you mean. Enjoy you respite from the 3 H's of summer.

All four distinct here in MO. Loving all of em but if I have to pick one it would be the spring with the promise and excitement of all that's new. {=}
