Leaving for the weekend.....

My sister is home through the end of March (she is in the Navy) and she has brought my 1 year old niece with her, and my mother thought it would be nice to come over and spend some time with her and bring my son along to get some pics of the two grandkids together. My mother loves to spoil her grandchildren, and she gets the best of both worlds since I have a son and my sister has a daughter(mine will be 12 next month......any b-day present suggestions????). My mother's first granddaughter, and the opportunity to spoil a little girl. She is in heaven. I will be leaving tomorrow for the east coast of FL I hope you all had a safe St Patty's day and have a great weekend. I stayed home tonight because I do not go out onto the roads on drinking holidays (St Patty's, New Years, , etc)and because I have to work all day tomorrow.

I do have a couple of things for you all to ponder while I am gone, hopefully everyone that views this will make a reply since this really has me curious. If it has been asked before in the past by another blogger, I am sorry, but for the life of me I have yet to see this question on any of the blogs I have traversed. either it is not there or it is so far back I haven't looked deep enough. well, here it is...

What is the meaning behind your nickname and how long did it take you to come up with it? I will provide my answer after I come back from my weekend.

the other thing that has me thinking this weekend is this...

What is it that motivates you? what is the underlying force that allows or drives you to get out of bed in the morning? Is it a person? Is it a deity (like God), is it a thing, is it a place?

What moves you to keep going on a daily basis.

Scheduled a Dr's appointment today, first time I will be seeing him in nearly three years. I hate Dr's cause they always tell you what you are doing wrong, not what you are doing right. At least this time I can brag to him that I quit smoking...lol Appointment is for Thursday, I am having a checkup, then he will schedule for a complete physical. I plan to have more regular checkups since I am approaching 40, no need to put them off any longer.

OK folks I am off to bed, have a great weekend, stay safe, see ya on Monday...

Hi, John.

Wow! Excellent post! I used to own a striped VW bug, hence the handle. I have a voracious appetite for knowledge and information. That's what motivates me. It's what gets me up in the morning, and it's what drives me throughout my day. At the moment, however, I've been spending entirely too much time practicing guitar.

Hiya Buggy

I do love your pic, I get a smile on my face every time I see it...LOL

A striped Bug, never saw one of those before. what color was it, black and white I am assuming since the zebra reference.

Having an appetite for information can be very motivating. Quite a lot of people that I know in my life absorb information like a sponge (including my Ex Wife )

nothing wrong with practicing the guitar, it is a good trait to have, I never could learn, because I was too busy doing other things and never learned to play a musical instrument. I wish I had learned. Just think how that could help you in the future. You get real creative when you know how to play an instrument and it can lead to big and better things..

*hugs*

aascrompn - lol - ok... I have answered this a few times, but here it goes. In college, I used scrompn as a verb (to fuck). I used this as my handle all the back since 1995. I added the aa to it to get put up higher in the search categories... lol

Hope this helped.

What motivates me to get up in the morning? I love this site. I love that I've found a New One that I can flirt with and which gives me inspiration to continue with this long, sometimes blury, quest.

Can honestly say I have never seen the word scompn used as a word for fuck let alone anything else..

you popularity whore...LOL I never thought of using that to get higher on the search engines. Though I have to admit AAJohnMaclaine would look pretty wierd...lol

Glad you have finaly found a reason for loving this site as much as I have aas, keep your eyes on the prize and it will all be worth it in the end.

Purry,

I think I remember you telling the tale behind your nickname, thank you for telling it again here.

As for me...

I chose this nickname from "Die Hard". The Bruce Willis character from the movies. I am a big movie fan and the Die Hard movies are some of my favorites.

As for what motivates me, well, it would have to be my son, since he is the proudest thing I have in my life. He will be 12 soon, and it amazes me how quickly they grow up. I miss his innocence. But he is the reason for my life, and why I keep going. He is an inspiration to me and will be that way until the day I die.

I had a good weekend, spent it with mom, dad, sis, niece, and my son. it was pretty quiet, which is always good, and a good time was had by all. One thing I did discover though, my niece has the strongest set of lungs I have ever witnessed in an infant. she was up screaming at the top of her lungs until 2AM on Sunday night. Poor mom, she had to be at work at 7:30 the next day. she had finally had enough and got up and rocked her to sleep.

until next blog,

John

The meaning behind my name is pretty simple,I am not a hard body by any stretch of the imagination..I am soft,lush,comfortable..there is a lot to say about a soft woman..most men already appreciate it,some have to really experience it..so yea I think my name fits..

the other thing that has me thinking this weekend is this...

What is it that motivates you? what is the underlying force that allows or drives you to get out of bed in the morning? Is it a person? Is it a deity (like God), is it a thing, is it a place?Pretty deep there Mr Man,honesty what gets me going,is simply making sure I am doing the right thing..get up,go to work,do my job above average,be kind to my work mates,be good to my friends..I am not a religious person by any stretch of the imagination but I do believe in living a life that you can be proud of. hope that answers your questions..which,by the way, excellent topic
