Kids do the craziest things.....

I was talking to a friend last night about how quickly my son is growing up. The conversation was sparked by a post I read on Goddessofbitches blog about an incident she had with her son. It seems like I just brought him home yesterday from the hospital but he'll be five in just 3 months. WOW! Where did the time go? Well, we were discussing all the things he has done....bad, funny, sweet, etc... and I thought I would share the funniest moment with all of you.

It was Mothers Day (this year) and I went out to eat at a restaurant with my mother and father. We had ordered and our food got there. All was going well, my son was being a perfect angel and I couldn't believe it. He finished his plate rather quickly and proceeded to kneel on his chair looking over the back of it at other people in the restaurant. Well as he was kneeling backwards on the chair, he began doing that up and down motion, you he was playing peek-a-boo with the person behind us. Then he stood up next to the table and all of a sudden before I realized what was happening HE PULLED HIS PANTS DOWN!!! In the middle of a crowded restaurant! He then proceeded to grad his little winkie and loudly announced "Mommy, my pee pee is gettin' bigger"! He had a little hard on, either from the friction of the chair or because he had to pee? I have no idea. I froze, unable to move, mortified beyond belief. Everyone laughed as he proceeded to repeat himself over and over while shaking it at me and then finally said "Mommy my pee pee is gettin' bigger and it hurts, help me" This whole charade lasted less than 2 minutes as I stared in terror at my little angel turned devil. I pulled his pants up and took him to the bathroom. I told him that he couldn't pull it out in public and that if it gets like that it just means that he has to go pee and then it will go away. I stood in the bathroom with him for quite a while before I was able to build up the courage to go back out into the crowded restaurant. Then I did it, everyone just smiled at him and told me it was ok! I guess kids will be kids.
