Just dropping in....

So, I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy with Christmas coming up and found myself visiting all other blogs when I do have time to log in. But I have found some really good blogs that I've never read before and some are quite captivating. So, what's been happening with me?

Well, today was officially my last day of classes for the semester. I took my psychology final and drove away from campus with a smile on my face. I have a few weeks off, until Jan. 9th, but it's better than nothing and I have more time to spend with my son.

I finally got all my Christmas shopping done and all presents wrapped.

Today, after class, I went to my sons preschool to volunteer, which I enjoy doing when I have the time because it gives me more time with him and also lets him know that his education is important to me and that I want to play an active role in all aspects of his life. Well, I couldn't believe what happened there. There are 2 brothers in his class and they have some behavioral problems that stem from a poor upbringing (yes, I know the parents so can come to that conclusion with confidence in its truth). Well, it was the end of the day and they were all getting their coats on. The one brother started hitting his brother in the face with his coat, the zipper part, and the little boy was crying. So, I told him nicely that he was hurting his brother and to stop. He looked me directly in the eyes and said "Shut your fucking mouth you bitch". Oh my God, I was floored. If that was my child, he would have been slapped right in the mouth. What parent doesn't teach there children a certain degree of manners? It's one thing to simply say "No" to me but to outright call me a bitch and use that language. I couldn't believe it. And they told me my son was "hyper" and needed to be put on ADD medication. Ridiculous!!

Aside from that, my day went pretty well. My son has school up until the 22nd, but after that, he is off until the 4th of Jan.

Also, he recently watched the movie Polar Express. Well he decided for Christmas that he would like Santa to bring him a bell off of his sleigh like the little boy in the movie got. So, I'll be off tomorrow to find a bell for him. I know they sometimes sell products for movies, so the first place I'm going is Hallmark.

But, thats if weather permits. We're supposed to get slammed with snow tonight and tomorrow. Well not slammed but 6-9 inches and I recently traded my 4 wheel drive in for a cavalier. But I have good tires, like it matters. I'm scared to death to drive in the snow and would rather play in it with my son.

So, hopefully all of you are done, or almost done, with your holiday shopping. And if I dont post again before Christmas.....Please be safe if you plan on travelling, even if it's only up the road! So until I blog again.....

And since I haven't posted something funny in a while, here's a new one:

Be careful how you spend those $20's

On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband and asked for $20.00 for their first lovemaking encounter. In his highly aroused state, her husband readily agreed.

This scenario was repeated each time they made love, for more than 30 years, with him thinking that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed. Arriving home around noon one day, she was surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state. During the next few minutes, he explained that his employer was going through a process of corporate downsizing, and he had been let go. It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been earning, and therefore, they were financially ruined.

Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which showed more than thirty years of steady deposits and interest totaling nearly $1 million. Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued by the bank which were worth over $2 million, and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank. She explained that for the more than three decades she had "charged" him for sex, these holdings had multiplied and these were the results of her savings and investments. Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over$3 million, her husband was so astounded he could barely speak, but finally he found his voice and blurted out, "If I'd had any idea what you were doing, I would have given you all my business!"

That's when she shot him.

You know, sometimes, men just don't know when to keep their mouths shut.
