rude much?

I was sitting here minding my business when a guy IMed me. For one I didn't know that I had my IM opened but I didn't want to be rude so I decided to chat with him a little while. He asked me a few questions and I answered honestly then he asked if I was married. Apparently he didn't read my profile cause my profile clearly states Single. As soon as I told him no I wasn't married, he signed out of the IM. No "I'm not interested" no "goodbye" nothing. Maybe I'm reading to much to this but I find that offensive and rude. What gets me is he contacted me. IF you don't want to talk to a person who is single don't contact a person who is listed as being single. Before I contact or leave comments I read others profile. Isn't that the purpose of having a profile?

This is an unfortunate byproduct of many online communities. It's a shame that we all aren't more courteous with our interactions. So often we find people to be rude, demanding, or incredibly impatient.

You must also be aware that with pics, video broadcasts, and chat rooms, we are often over stimulated. We see a picture or a hot video profile, then see you online... bam! Odd pages and messages come your way.

The process of reading a profile for some may take too much time away from their excitement at the moment. The ones that count, the ones who take the time and are interested in what you are about, they are the ones you want to talk with anyway.

I think your willingness to chat, even though you didn't know the person, is very cool... and they were lucky to have had the opportunity. I hope this experience doesn't keep you from answering others greetings.

Thats kinda strange, typically its the other way around! Than again AdultFriendFinder messenger is really fickle, it just might have been an accident.
I thought the same thing so I left my messenger up for a half hour and stayed on AdultFriendFinder for a few more hours just in case, but never got a response or explanation. I thought about emailing him to ask what the problem was but I am not going to hound someone who is apparently not interested in speaking to me. I had already had more than one person today act in a disrespectful and condescending way (not at AdultFriendFinder) and I had to let the frustration go. Thanks for your comment. Thanks Bnawtee. I am still very new to this but I had the expected that all the adults here would act like adults. Be assured that I will not let one discourteous person taint my view of others here. Thanks for your comment and please feel free to share your opinions with me again.

They only read what they want too. I've gone as far as setting "rules" rather than use the email filter. Good Luck. Happy Hunting.
