All About Me

I've always said that self-deprecating humour is the best for three reasons. 1) No one's feelings get hurt. 2) I know all the material. 3) If I go a little too far, I don't have to worry about me kicking my own ass over it.

+++ +++ +++

More than a few times I've been told that I am at least reasonably attractive, and I believe it. I am happy with how I look. What makes me wonder though, is how few women are willing to talk to me. My profile here has officially been viewed... once. When I go out with friends I am almost universally shunned by the fairer sex. I joke that they must be able to sense my palpable aura of evil, but I seriously wonder what it is about me that makes it hard for most people to talk to me. Am I threatening in some way? I just don't get it.
That's to say nothing about the curse of a young face. Oh, sure... I'll love it when I'm old... blah blah blah... the only women who will smile at me are... girls... I'd like to date a woman my own age, thank you... but when a woman in her late 20's or early 30's see me, they assume I'm like 19 or 20. -sobs-
Okay... I'm done feeling sorry for myself, so I promise all of you that my next post will be back to my usual fare.

Sorry, Laws of supply and demand. AdultFriendFinder stacks towards the gold. Also, we're a very closed community of ongoing bloggers here... I think AdultFriendFinder sucks as a tool. I just blog. Will probably let the gold membership go when it expires....

As for the age thing. Just go with whatever. I fell in love/ and had more in common with my ex who is 13 years younger than me. Time to transcend age....

I wasn't refering to AdultFriendFinder specificly, just using it as an example. Trust me, I know these sites don't lead to many "hook ups" I just come here for the blog community as well. I've dated younger woman and have found some that I have much in common with, save the most important thing... They are totally unprepared for real life. I know that's a generalization, but I'm talking about my experiences. I need a partner who can cope with problems like the "real world" likes to produce and not go crying to her mommy the first time there isn't enough money in the bank for her new cell phone accessory because I had yet another expensive doctor bill... OK, I didn't mean to go on for so long...

to be honest, that's not the greatest photo -- its very grey. something with either a smile or more colour would attract more attention. i come here cos you comment on my blog -- which is another way to attract attention, bearing in mind that i am on that pop list, so i get lots of commenters. i actually come here cos you write reasonable comments, and you write a good blog. it takes time. i was once hidden in the bowels of blogland too (if u go back in my blog to the early days, you will see how few comments i got). so just hang in there. the bloggers that get noticed are the ones that stay the course!

That post was 99% bitch/rant. I've done my fair share of blogging, and it had little to do with this site. I was refering to a long list of experiences, not this one or even ones like this one. I'm sorry that seems to have been misunderstood. As for the picture: I never smile for photographs and bright colors aren't complemetary for me, so that's pretty much what you're going to get.
