We attended the meet and greet for the Jacksonville area last night. It was held in Orange Park at club '57 Heaven'. Myself and my husband were a little shy when we first arrived, seeing so many unfamiliar faces in the far left corner. We got drinks and sat on the right hand side. After gathering some liquid courage and dancing to a few songs, we decided to 'check out' what a meet and greet was all about. We found in turn that many of the members that attend this are not as bold and blunt as it would seem they are online. They were actually very cordial and friendly. We found a few people that we got along with very well and we look forward to seeing them again. It was a thrill to be able to fit profiles with faces and to get to interact with so many different people that have similar prospectives in life. This is something that we plan on having on our calendar at least twice a month for at least the next while.
If you have not attended a meet and greet as of yet, I would suggest that you do so. You will gather advice from persons that you will learn to call friends and you will have a good time.

I can totally understand how you must have felt being a little shy at a meet and greet. I didn't even know they existed and I've lived here for some time now. My husband is not much of a nightclub person, but it's possible I could talk him into going to one of these. I would probably be a little shy and awkward at first too, but I am sure once you meet people that you have things in common with the conversation will start to flow. How often do these meet and greet meetings happen and where? I'd be curious! I haven't done anything really crazy and wild in ten years!
