Just Did The MATH!

I don't know why I thought it would be different.

For whatever misguided reason, somehow, my impression was that, signing up on a site like this, there would be a somewhat even mix of men and women looking to find one another.

Here in Nebraska, there are a mere 3,560 women gazing at the profiles of 40,654 men. Across the border in Iowa: 66,191 men trying hard to meet 6,055 women. Down South in Kansas? 69,268 men and just 4,177 women.

Talk about a buyer's market for the ladies!

What is a normal, good-looking, nice, smart, funny, attentive and passionate guy to do to raise himself up above the masses and get noticed? Or better yet, get contacted and acquainted with a woman with similar qualities?

I should have studied marketing more in college. It would certainly help me here.

And by the way, there are 154,177 Blogs out there with 2,070,910 posts.

Begs the question - if a blog gets posted and nobody reads it, does it make any sense? lol

I'm all the more appreciative now of the three fine people who responded to my first post. We'll see if any math majors out there (or marketing majors) have any thoughts they want to share on creating a buzz on AdultFriendFinder.

Thanks for reading!

It is of course a woman's world... here on AdultFriendFinder.

I've written about the "profiles of men" on my blog... and I'm happy to say that you fit none of the negative aspects I expressed my annoyance with. You emailed me awhile ago, and to be honest it got buried in a pile of emails.

I think MiaBella makes some good points... to perhaps, if i may, sum her facts up... be yourself, be original, and let the person that you're trying to contact know you've read their profile by commenting on it... and not sending a cut and paste message. I've put a lot of effort in my profile, and i enjoy blogging, so i've put a lot out there for someone to get to know me. I think I've put too much out there, lol... to be honest. Thanks for that email, and sorry I never responded in a more timely manner.

Thanks Shazzy and MiaBella for the responses. I have had fun blogging and need to make the time to do more. I think that's the best forum for "being yourself". I've already re-written my profile a couple of times and am still not happy with it, though I'm glad it meets your approval Shazzy.

I know that the profile is the "hook" that hopefully gets people looking at you in the first place. But I agree that it's the blogs that tell the true tale. Discussing multiple topics let's people get the true feeling for what you are all about. AND, if a person takes the time to read your thoughts and comment on them, as you two lovely ladies have done, it shows that much more of who THEY are and the depth of being that they bring to the potential relationship.

Thanks again for the thoughts. More wildly entertaining and provocative blogs on the way!
