First of all, I hate to drive. I avoid it at all costs. My husband does 90% or more of the driving, so I have to ask, how can he stand the stupid people on the roads today?

I had the unfortunate opportunity to have to drive home last night. There are cars that I recognize from driving the same route everyday, to and from work, for 10 years now. They know the right lane is ending, why the hell would you pull out from behind me, race past only to not be able to get in 5 cars ahead of me when the lane ends and then have to go through the frustration of having to merge right back to where you were?

Here are the 3 stupidest things I encountered last night....

- lanes ending, why not go out and see how far ahead you can get - like I am going to let you in ahead of me!

- someone goes flying past me in a 60 k/hr zone (I am already going 80 k which is plenty fast enough) doing at least 100 k if not more - only to have me pass him 10 minutes later as he is doing 70 k in an 80 k zone!

- people who fluctate their speed - 70 one minute, 120 the next and all the numbers in between - pick a freaking speed already and go it, I don't care if it is 70, 80, 90 or 200 - just do one speed! Vehicles are equipped with cruise control for all you idiots who can't seem to pick a speed - put it to some good use - it is not a decoration!

How I wish there was a solution for this problem. I am sure I am not the only one who gets pissed off by these people.

I know exactly what you mean. I drive a big rig and I just don't understand why people do the stupid things you mentioned. These are the ones that usually cause the accidents involving trucks and then blame the trucker for it. I've seen people reading books, writing on a pad in the middle of the steering wheel at 100+km/hr. Where are their brains? Out to lunch?
Just a tidbit of info, you'll see more of this stupidity around a full moon.
