Bloggers Block....Christmas burn out

I have been sitting here reading though the blogs of all my blogging friends and I am burnt, cooking, baking, wrapping, card writing and bickering...yes bickering....I think I have hit my Christmas burn out!

If it isn't my mother putting the pressure on to make the 2 hour drive to her house for Christmas morning (we've been married for 10 years and have two kids...only ones on both sides of the family with kids as a matter of fact...and we're the ones that have to travel?) it is my sisters fighting over who's or mom!

Sometimes I just get so sick and tired of pleasing everyone else all the while I am left feeling miserable. I am 31 years old, been married for 10 and have 2 young children and all I want is to give them what I had as a kid for Christmas....a warm loving home, a delicious meal, and time to sit and relax around the fire Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning...sing games...enjoy my family! Is that such a horrible thing to ask? Why can't they all travel here and enjoy their only grandchildren/neice/nephew? They have no kids and they all live 2 hours away...north...east and south west....rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Anyways...that is enough I guess...feels good to get it off my chest! Thanks for listening....wishing all of you peace, joy, love and a very safe holiday!

With Love
Mrs. Fuq

The joys of Christmas, right? LOL. I feel for ya, we're driving 4 hrs on Christmas Eve only to turn around and drive back Christmas night...hauling all the presents, two kids, a dog, and TWO vehicles.

I'd say screw it if I could .

Venting always feels good.

12/17/2005 1:10 pm's nice to know I am not alone

Jaded...the only great thing about going to my parents is that I get to see my dog...when we moved into town we didn't have a fenced in yard so he went to live with my parents on the farm

Soft...hmm only once a year...thank God for small perfect Christmas is peaceful with my kids and husband...and when I am darn good and ready to venture out in the cold to see everyone else I will...that's what makes sense to me seems to eliminate the stress...
