Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww... What do I do? Make it go away!

Okay, this is a little creepy... Got a message in my "filtered" folder, ostensibly from a woman (and I don't do women). So I open it, already formulating my polite decline in my head. Reading the text of the message, I see that it's actually a couple that will play together or separately. Which I might have considered.

BUT.

I open the picture attached, which is of the man. As it turns out, a man I know, in fact I used to work with both he and his wife. Except the woman in the profile pic is definitely NOT his wife. And quite frankly, I can't picture A) them swinging, or me being with either, or both, of them. So now comes the dilemma. I am, of course, going to turn him down. But do I tell him exactly why, or make up an excuse of some kind, and if so, what? If I tell him I know them, I'm sure he'll be dying to know who I am, and I just don't even want to go there...

What to do, what to do?

i would do the gentle thing and just deny his request, yet don't let him know that you know each other...there shouldnt be anything after that if he persists (wich would be highly unusual, a rejection is a rejection you know?) then say something, but for the time being just give the gentle let down. give an update blog of what happened !

Don't do anything.

The mail came into your filtered folder, so it didn't meet with your criteria anyway, and you have no need to react. Isn't that why you have the filter in place?

just turn him {them} down if you don't want to get bugged and lose the fun of being on a dating site

A polite, general reply along the lines of thanks, but no thanks at this time should be fine. You don't have to explain anything.

Bad isn't it??? To be caught in a delimma like this?? I mean, it's nice to be wanted, but not by someone who you do not want to be wanted by!!!! I suppose the only thing to really do in a situation like this is to tell the couple VERY politely, that you don't do couples....at least not a couple with their composition!!! hehehehe.. I don't envy you and i sure hope that this piece i'm writing will help some..

Outch!!! There are some things we don't want to know about some people! This is what I'm always afraid of on here and the reason why I hardly even chat with other Icelanders on here. I do NOT want to run into someone I know on here! I can't tell you what to do but probably the advice about doing nothing and try to pretend it didn't happen is the best one.
