Some Thought's On The Freedom of Speech

It seems as of late not just here on AdultFriendFinder but on similar web sites, groups owners are running scared because of U.S.C. Title 18 $2257.

The First Amendment of the Constitution states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
– The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

It is an amendment we hold near and dear to our hearts. It give's us the ability to express ourselves in any manner we choose.

Currently there is a fight going on in the courts regarding 2257 and the limiting of one of our basic tennents. What 2257 basicly does is requires those that produce porn for profit to keep records regarding the age of people appearing in their pictures, film or videos.

However the Department of Justice and Attorney General John Ashcroft announced in June that the U.S.C. Title 18, Section 2257 adult material record-keeping and labeling law is being expanded to include the Internet in an effort to protect children. As a result web sites went on the run. In fact I am suprised that AdultFriendFinder has not joined in this fight.

The whole thing is that the Government want's to limit what we can say or do on the internet and as far as I'm concerned since the pictures we post here on AdultFriendFinder are in fact our own those in them are consenting adults it's none of the governments damn business. We have no problem with them wanting to protect children but the burden in the end falls on the parents to monitor their childs activities on the net.

As for exploitation of children and using them to create porn those bastards should be hanged by the balls. Hell we have seen and reported a couple of Yahoo Briefcase photo albums for suspected child porn. I hope they found the people that took the pictures and threw them so far in jail they are pumping sunlight to them.

My whole point here is this...My freedom of speech shall not be abridged and I will go to my grave to defend it not just for myself but for any one else that cherishes our freedoms. It's not the Governments business what I read or take pictures of as long as I am with in the law.

Have an erotic day
