my handle

well someone asked me about my handle. well..

the monky.
in middle school i developed this affinity to monkeys from some random insult i heard in class. they have been my favorite animal since. i have tons! most of them are gifts.

the drummin.
i play the drums. in high school i was in the drumline. i loved every second of it. ive been passionate about it ever since. recently ive been getting into wanting to learn how to play set.

but yea.

thats where my hadle came from.

I don't mind baby monkeys....

Those bushbabies in the amazon are alright.

If I could by any animal, I'd probably be a gorilla in the mist gettin' freaky with Diane Fossey.

I want to make some comments.

Some monkeys are cute. But not all. Baboons, guenons, proboscis monkey, and squirrel monkey do not seem to be pretty at all. Most are, as spider monkeys, woolly monkeys, vervet monkey, colobus monkeys, and langurs. These all look cute.

Bushbabies (also called galagoes) are not monkeys at all. They are primates, but more primitive.

Unlike monkeys, bushbabies have very large eyes, wider spaced.
The large eyes is the biggest difference. No monkey (American or old world) has eyes that big. Similar to these, are the aye-aye from Madagasgar and the tarsiers. These are all primitive primates. And not monkeys.

Anyone want to know more about monkeys, just ask me. I do not know everything (of course not), but I do know some things about most groups of mammals.

I was banned from the zoo in singapore for trying to take a slow loris from it's enclosure, I always wanted a small monkey or primate. When I was in judo I was called Monki as I can use my feet almost as good as my hands to grip. i think musical talent is very sexy.

Well, it's good to start by sort of introducing yourself a little.
Welcome to the blogs, DrumminMonky. *smiling*

Hey DrumminMonky,

Can you believe it that in only two posts you ar already ranked as #2 blogger in the Inland Empire?

Up until a few weeks ago there were zero female active bloggers in the region. There are more females here that have blogs but most don't blog regularly.

Now there is [blog DrumminMonky] and kissnlik so it may not be as big of an achievement as it sounds but I'm just happy that there are any females at all blogging in this area. But seeing as your last post was on the 12th maybe I'm premature here in thinking you'll be a regular blogger.

If you want to see the tops in local bloggers just hit the link at the top for "get local" (I like to thik of it as "get loco") and scroll down a bit and look to the left of the screen for where it says Most Active Blogs in Inland Empire (by unique responses)

I do live in the Inland Umpire but for osme reason A_FF keeps listing me in the SouthEastern CA region. And on that chart I am #1. But that suck becasue i don't even live out there. At the moment I'd be #3 here with [blog ricop1379] just tailing right behind me. valdrane78 is the local king of the roost who recent overtook the now less frequent blogger of bytechaser2.

Without too much effort you could leap frog kissnlik to the next higest ranked blogger but this isn't really a competition it's about contributing quality material and having fun so I hope you contribute some more quality narrations and that you have some fun doing it.
