Movie Politics

I recently had it pointed out to me, and I noticed myself although I never placed any significance on it, that there's a distressing amount of politics in movies. And I mean not just documentaries or the like, because you expect it there, but the most random movies.. I'd like to think I'm reasonably intellectual, I mean I read, I go to University all that, but when I go see a movie of a certain genre, say horror or action or something, I just want mindless fun.. Seriously. Explosions, sex, blood, stupid puns, that sort of thing. Snappy one-liners no one in real life would ever use. Thats all I want..

And as a note to myself, saw a movie on the 20th. Well, went to a movie, didn't actually wind up paying that much attention to it, did not return to my home directly afterwards, 34.

We all need escapism and a good old fashioned mindless action thriller is ideal to let off a bit of steam. When I watch a film I want to be entertained not moralized or politicized.
