Reject....

I was surfing another site (which shall remain nameless of course). Yes, it was another Adult oriented meeting place. I've been a member there for quite a few years so the experience is not new to me. I spotted a new face, read the profile (yes, some guys do) and off I sent a message.

No response...

I'm used to that. No problem..

Lo and behold, this morning I see the same person online. As I had an hour of relaxation ahead of me and was enjoying a quiet morning of coffee and surfing, I sent off a "good morning" message. I never expected a response, hey, thats the nature of these sites. What I didnt expect was a capitalized and exclamation pointed heavy rejection.

"I AM NOT INTERESTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ok, what'd I do? No matter, I understand not everyone is each others cup of tea. We all have our preferences. Promptly I responded "Thank you for responding and good luck". One must be a gentleman I believe. I blocked this personso I wouldn't mistakenly message them again..

Like I said, I've been around these sites for a while. I've made many great aquaintances as well as dear and longlasting friends. Thus, the reson I still surf here and others. Ladies, I undestand the volumous email you must get. I just recalculated the m/f ratio and it remains constant.

13/1

Guys, are we that unhearing that a pleasant "no thanks" doesnt suffice? Ladies, is it all too often that you must be forceful to get your point across? (I sincerely hope not)

I chalk this incident up to experience. Yes, I'll still message and always remain the gentleman I am. No reason to be anything else

They also say you catch more flies with sugar than vinegar. Well... i've had occassions in the past when, while browsing chat rooms, i'd run into some jerk that would just start cussing and being insulting for no reason. I'd always just smile sweetly, say some super polite cheerful words... then block and ignore. But I'd usually get that obvious sense of shocked and startled on their part, and a big of embarressment for being so rude, before i'd close them out forever. Make them wonder.

A lot more men on the site than women. So ya..lots of email. Not everyone is a gentleman. Some can't take a polite no. It's nice to come across that gentle manner..in a man. It shows an inner quality that just might win you points in the future..with that someone special for you. Could be that the woman..you reference in your post..has been running into jerks lately.
