MGT/434 - Title VII of the CRA 1964

Okay, this has nothing to do with "trying to hook up with someone" or relationships at all. Basically, I'm in school working towards a BS/BM and currently taking Employment Law. The current discussion is about Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as ammended) and should there be more protected classes. A quick summary of protected classes, in case you are not up on the times, are:

* Title VII: race, color, national origin, religion, or sex
* Age Discrimination in Employment Act
* Equal Pay Act
* Titles I and V of the Americans with Disabilities Act

That said, we were asked the following questions:
Are there any other classes of persons that should be provided with protected status? What about affinity orientation? How about overweight people, unattractive people, short people? What criteria should be utilized in selecting protected classes?

What are your thoughts? Should more classes be added, and if so, what?
