Crazy art/work weekend ahead

<--Hey look! The flowers from the side of the shoe shop
on California Ave.

This morning i set my alarm for 7am so that I could get up and
work on my 3 art assignmeents before I ran off to a presentation.
I managed to get out of bed at 7:30 am (damn those purring
cats! They see that you are awake, and run up to you, and then
curl up in your arms with their cute little heads resting
on your shoulder..and then the PURR...and promptly put
you back to sleep. evil things. )
<br>
I did get up though, and drew 2 pages of outlines of a merry-go-round
(the kind you find in playgrounds, all metal bars and sheeting).
One sketch is crisp..the other has a blurry background
(showing movement of the merrygoround). I'll start
to fill them in with Pastels after work on Saturday..before
my coffee meeting with Debbie.

After drawing, i headed off to school to attend the "Beyond
the BFA, The Real Options" presentation. It was a
panel of artists, grad students, and instructors talking
about various aspects of real life. The instructors were
the only ones with good information (the rest just told
"all about me" stories with no value). I did
learn that I MUST get a 35mm camera. I wish I had Bryan's
camera...that was a kick ass camera! (hmm...maybe I'll
email him and make an offer on it) I also learned that I need
to write a better artists statment (kinda hard to do when
I'm not certain yet what my art looks like) and that
I must get into exhibits as soon as possible. (this part
comes after actually getting some artwork done, and getting
the 35mm camera.

Today is really gonna be busy. After Art History class,
I'm going to rush home and try to work for 8 full hours.
Since I'll be starting at 3:30 pm, that means I'll
be working till at least 11 pm. I'd really like to get
some coffee soymilk from whole foods before I sit down to
hours of computer work, but every second that I delay getting
home is more time lost to work.
