44 cups to go!

Only managed to get 6 cups thrown today - part of that was because I sought the help of our lab tech. Seems that he used to be a production thrower and had some advice on how to trim the bottoms of the cups better. I destroyed 2 full cups trying to learn his new way, but finally got the hang of it. (kinda) Those 6 are much better than yesterday's cups.

I did manage to get handles on the previous 10 cups. That took about an hour to pull the handles and attach them to the shape they looked best on.

I left the lab around 4, ran to Whole Foods and grabbed some artichokes for dinner. Got some soycoffee, chocolate, and kettle corn as well (gotta love that period coming)

Came home and chopped up all our old apples for some apple pastries. I made an apple turnover with the leftover filo dough and the apple crisp (with oatmeal topping) is in the oven right now. I hope they all turn out well..with apples, soy butter, and sugar, you can't go wrong really.

I am SO SORE! My thighs hurt, my arms hurt, and I have a rash from the red clay that keeps sneeking in. Red painful burning dots all up my arms, hands, and thighs where the clay hit (teaches me to throw on the wheel when wearing shorts. Why why why did the school remove all the splash pans???) When I have my own studio, I will never ever work with red clay.

Wish I had the time to really get back to my creativity...

I really enjoy reading your posts about your projects and in a way I am really jealous of your oportunity to be doing what you are doing.

Make the most of it...
