Work, Office, and Hell.

Ever had one of those days where the only thing that seemed remotely important was putting as much distance between yourself and your place of work? Where nothing at work -- the people, the computers, the projects -- seemed to go anything but frustrating-as-hell...

Maybe it's just me. My job has somehow evolved from something I loved to do into something completely else, something I'm not sure I want, and something that's trying to make its place in an office environment that, on average, doesn't seem to want it. One of those positions that the company needs, but that many in the company see as threatening or challenging or unnecessary or...

But I hate just walking away from things, especially a place I've been at for several years and helped turn from an eager little startup into the monolithic mess that it is today, where most of the people are great to work with. Just wishing my position and job were more like it used to be. But even then, the politics have become chokingly thick.

I think I need to go measure my blood pressure.

When I have days like that...I do the typical girl thing.

I take the afternoon off and go to the movies. Or I buy new shoes or an outfit.
