Honoring the heroes of 9/11

I was never able to watch any of those 9/11 documentaries. I tried again to watch the one tonight and all I could do was cry. I had to record the rest and turn off the tv.

I didn't realize they had a running camera inside one of the towers the entire time. I thought a lot of it was going to be recreation so I was quite surprised.

When all the jumpers started hitting the floor with loud thuds I got nauseated but when the firefighters found their chaplain/chief dead on the floor, I had to turn off the tv.

It must be something to be part of such a team as the police and firemen. It must be quite a rush to know your life rests in the hands of the man beside you and his in yours. I got a bit of that in the Air Force but nothing to the extent of the numerous times that firefighters and police officers are up against it.

To all the policemen and firefighters that didn't make it home that day: I salute you...

Never Forget 911 Victims

They say a woman ages like fine wine...

...mine ages like milk!

It is incredible how many people died that day but it is at least equally incredible about how many people survived... The country banded together so well after 9-11... I even didn't mind that the Yankees were winning the World Series and that is something I never expected to not mind...
