Snooping in other peoples files

Need to know what all of u think about the following. An 11 year old girl, who had permission to be on my computers (2), only to play games, snooped into my "Personal" file and read some things, which did affect her personally.

Now her mother has not allowed me close to that 11 year old and her 7 year old sister. Her mother wont talk to me even tho everything I wrote was the truth about her mother, thier grandmother. Even though, if it had not been for the 11 year old snooping my files, the world would still be hunky dory.

I feel bad, but I feel its not my fault. Yes, I should have hidden that particular file. Yes, I should have monitored her more closely. So in that I will take the blame.

What kills me the most is that she knew I had personal files, I told her, and she knew not to go into them, but I feel that a trust has been abused.

I have written two emails stating how sorry I am for her finding out about my writings like that but I will not apologize for me taking out my anger in the written word.

If it had not been for her daughter snooping in what she knew was personal, we would not be having this conversation.

What is your feed back on that. Plse, do be frank.

Well it seems to be a tough lesson learned. In all honesty, I'd never let anyone else near my 'puta. I don't have much personal stuff on here but it's like a diary - people feel if it's there, they gotta look.

You've done the best you can to apologize and why should you hide your files - it's your computer and you were obviously doing the child a favour by letting her use your computer. Personally I would be pissed at THEM ! She abused your trust. In some cases, private writings can be part of therapy and whilst it's your innermost feelings, they are to make YOU feel better and not anything personal against the other person.

If they aren't close friends, I'd say cut and run. If they were close, they would have accepted your apology (assuming it wasn't anything lewd or crude about the kids).

Mistress Innuendo
Taking what you say and turning it into something naughty !!

Hello "2U4U2".

You愉e grown up, you愉e adult ... Children, doesn愒 matter which age are still children ... You are responsible what has happened ... It愀 not a matter of thrust ... it愀 a matter of thinking about consequences ... For example: If you allow a child cooking spaghetti and the child get burned while you愉e in the basement or shopping ... or your car keys are taken by a child and an accident happens with your car ... you愉e still responsible ... sorry, but that愀 what we are ... we are responsible for our active and passive decisions ...

NO NO NO, if children are the future and can't follow orders from a young age then the future is bleak, I'm afraid to say! I'm sorry but the child had no respect for you or your wishes and yes, I agree you had the right to be angry. I have the same problem with my 11yr old daughter and my adopted son of 15yrs. They are more computer literate than we are but also have inquiring minds and when you let a child know that its out of bounds to snoop, you need to explain why because its natural that they would do it anyway unless you give a reason they shouldn't but when a child persist even after being told the reason as why they cannot then that child is wrong. I'm sorry if it someone close to you and I hope things and can get better and move forward from this point on. The mother should learn to teach her children that what is out of bounds is exactly that!!!!!!!
Take care in the future {=}

Things have gotten better but no apology from 11yr old. She does get real nervous around me tho and I try to reasure her but I think she knows she owes me an apology but I dont think anyone has shown her how to say I am sorry for the problems I have caused.

So things have gotten better, she doesnt touch my laptop/computer anymore, she asks before she does anything in the house, so in that respect, things have gotten better. I am still pissed about it tho, but than agian, I am the adult and I have to be the better person if her parents/step-grandpa r not going to be showing her the right/wrong of the damage she actually caused in my personal life, in her personal life with her parents and us as well as the friendship her little sister and I once had, it has been shattered and it will only take time to remedy.

I do thank u all for your comments, I do love the honesty I can fell here.

Any time you tell a kid "don't look", they are going to look. At least you learned. You will probably never get an apology from her, but things are getting better....look to that. I am going to be in your area at the end of August. Would you like to do dinner or something?

Well this is a hard but true life lesson as what happened was not your intended plan. People snoop as part of human nature regardless of age. Pointing out where not to is inviting them in, like TV ratings TV-14 means kids under 14 should see this. Maybe in some way deep down their may be a tiny part of you that did want some truth out but not in this way. This is a hard lesson in life but one that we all learn from as this happens to all in some way shape or form. The one thing that you need to do is not dwell on it but work through it as best you can in light of the ramifications. If you ever need suport as well hit me up uqa71 at eeeaaawhhh0000. It's happened to me in another form.

Sorry, but you (and only you) are at fault. Why? 1) should be able to 'hide' your files, and/or have Security Code; 2) claiming 1,000 to 2,000 'partners', may be true, but V Odd and far from the norm. . .
p.s. : Average for a female is about 4 (FOUR) partners !!!

2U4U2....Just want to say I'd like to meet up with you. I'm in the military and will be back in the area in Jan 2007. Any chance you could make a guy like me happy? I'll definitely return the favor. I'd love to see more of you with any pics you can send me. Thanks

Now that the girl has done not only what she should not have but ran right to her mom and told her. Why would you let it get to you so badly. It was not you that lied and snooped and told.
the truth is the truth. I know that you are sorry it happened but don't feel that you are in any way responceable. You trusted her and she lied. Could have some thing with how she was raised.

What was the file about that made such a mess of all of this. The child should have never been allowed to use your computer if you had such files on there or at least put them on another disk so that she couldn't get at them. That is hine sight now and the only thing is time and if all works out and you get your respect back. I know I would not give the young girl any respect or allowed back into my house. What was on that file?

To Looking4usor:

Way back in the day, since we were from the same town, we had gone to school together and basically grown up together and then I moved away and then I met a guy who I had named my son after which I later found out that that same guy had been her live in husband up to 2001 when she passed on from liver failure due to excessive drug usage (heroine) and drinking.

Mother told me everything I had been missing as well as the whole town and the cleaning up the back yard, I was finding bent spoons, used needles and lord knows what else. I was stunned. Then a local company had installed cameras on the work site and caught many, but thier grandmother fucking/using drugs on the job.

That is what I had on the file. The file contained my personal feelings as well as everything I knew about the woman as well as the stress that I was going thru as well as ............u get the idea I hope.

There was no respect to me then and there is very litte respect from her to me and from me to her now but she is not beyond help. I dont totally trust her around my things; my files all have passwords now; I got her mother a very good refi as well as $50,000.00 from her house.

In the end, my bf now never knew I would know so much about his ex, thier grandmother, his step daughters mom. That was my sin and these things u dont hold against anyone the later generations. U just hope for a better future.

I do thank everyone for thier support but kids do as adults say, not adults do as kids say. That has been my belief then and it still stand.

Its not good for people to snoop. That person should have been talked to and let her know her consequences. She did wrong!

OK you asked and now you shall receive.

ALL JOKING ASIDE(truly, feelings are not something to joke about)

As a rule, the machine I use to access anyplace such as this site and any other "adult" related things, is under a lock and key!!!!!
Please follow my winding thoughts on this.......OK. Those of us(any one over 30)grew up in an era when we had a certain amount of innocence. By this i mean to say that YES we had our ups and downs but we didn't have to worry about walking to school(will i be kidnapped) or riding our bike till dark...with our "friends" or sneaking off alone in a valiant attempt to avoid our parents.
YES we had thermonuclear destruction. That was easy to deal with, The shear size of the threat was beyond comprehension for some. It WAS NOT in the nightly news. It didn't have a "special" on NBC with actors playing 13year old girls. My friends could not text message me a way to "remove it". Simple it was there and life went on!

I can only present my own story and hope the point gets across at the end. At 11 years old I "discovered" my older brothers hard core porno...fmf/tg/gay/animals/bondage/scat/G showers/ you name it and it had an ad inside the back pages(my favorite place was those adds especially the sub dom stuff i might add!!). I snatched a single mag from the collection and hid it away as my secret little self gratifying indulgence at 11 years old. I did not buy a replacement until i was 17 and made damn sure the liquor store clerk gave me a BIG paper bag to carry it out in.(this is key)OK.

ONE i could not hit the "hide"(look at the bottom) key and suddenly be checking a weather mag.

TWO My ability to "clear" the evidence of the thoughts in my mind and the resulting behavior was not accomplished with simple key strokes.
The end result was that I had to grow up a bit and as life experiences came at me I slowly discovered kindred spirits in the world that shared my "strange desires". The epiphany that i had at 21 was that i was actually a normal guy and that some women and men thought the way i did.

SOME OF MY POINT, i think (LO is that you are probably a very sexual woman. YES!!!!!!!!!!
This is fine and dandy for you as you are comfortable with A.who you are and B.with what you do.

kids today can access things on line that we had to wait till college to explore. They are surrounded by things today on TV/radio/internet/phone texting/my space(she has one i am sure and it probably says she is 16yrs old)that our parents would have shit their pants over.
The end result is that an 11yr old girl may be thinking in her head that this thing my friends/music/TV call "sex" is exciting or might think "what" is this "sex" thing??? The next thought will be, how can i find out what sex is "really" about.

This is the point that you and your lap top come to the fore front.
YOU have internet.
YOU are trusting enough to let her use your computer.
YOU might possibly "understand" if she gets caught.
and in this whole escapade she found your "private" folders. Albeit she did NOT find what she was looking for. When she went home she may have feed you to the wolves with the only thing she had....your angry rant....I am sure she didn't tell her mom what she was really doing....nor will she tell you.
Check your history and see if she was really playing a game.
I say all this because my own daughter is 14 and has been exploring the bisexual "girl power" sites. I am "chopped liver" when it comes to the communication from her. SOOOOOOOOOOOO being a sneaky father with a little geek in his blood i check her my space stuff and the history files. Her email is hers and i will not invade that.
I do hope this all made it across as i have had to type it all in this tiny window.

I don't know if you all know this, but you can create a separate account for people you use your computer with out getting any access to your personal files or the applications on your screen. they will only be able to use the basic functions of the computer and you can still monitor their where abouts. Let me know if you need more info on how to?

Hey S, I agree with the others. Don't let anyone near your computer and just write this one off as a lesson learned. you know you could always get one of those new laptops that are mostly just for being online. you can get them for about $350. That way you can put it away in your hot little drawer of toys!

You really need to accept the fact you let a child know you had personal things there to stay out of. Then you give her full access to your puter. Ever hear of dangeling candy in front of a baby. No excuses, accept your blame and move on wiser for the experience.

On one hand, she was a little girl and like all children, if you tell them not to, that's really just encouragement to go ahead and do it. So yeah, the files should've been hidden or password protected. But, you can't change what happened, nor should you apologize for documenting your own personal feelings for your personal use. If the child won't apologize and the Mother is upset with you, I would say that it's time to say "good-bye" to them, until they are mature enough to accept responsibility for their actions.

I do thank u all for ur responses, but a fantastic update!!!!! Since then, neither mom nor elder daughter came to the house to use my computer(s). Which was great in one sense but caused a chaotic scene between my then bf, no ex which lasted all of about 4 or 5 months, give or take.

I now live on my own;

I have gone thru three boxes, going on my fourth; (no, I didnt crash them, just upgraded, LO

I dont worry about anything anymore since now everything is all above board n my new rule of thomb is, "u snoop, u find, dont tell me cuz I didnt tell u to snoop, so ooooooooooooops, so sorry charlie, u deal with it....................."

Again thanx for all ur imput, u all r great no matter what anyone says about u.

Love u guys,
