logic and Matters of the heart

Logic, from the way I understand it is the mind reasoning through a problem or situation to arrive at an easy to understand situation.

Matters of the heart can be stimulated chemically, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. None of these things depend on logic.

We tend to ignore our most basic instincts so very often. Wanting to put ourselves above animals, when we are animals.

I often refer to the kid in us all, mine is still very much alive and I refuse to let him grow up. This 'kid' is not only our innocence, but it is our tie to our most basic instincts, the animal inside.

When we embrace the kid, and the animal we open our selves to things long forgotten, instincts that will protect us, innocence that will guide us, senses that will alert us.

Then we must use our logic to understand this mass flood of information that we are receiving.

Will this make us prey for others? Maybe, but remember in any hunt the prey can easily become the hunter.

somewhere along the way it seems we just stop listening to ourselves

i am trying to slow down and perceive things for what they are too, good thoughts. . .

reverend21 replies on 4/16/2006 6:14 pm:
sometimes it helps to slow down, some times it doesn't. all to often we are to close to a situation to perceive things for they truly are

Yes we are animals and I think it has neither to do with logic nor instinct but intuition...

instinct and intuition are very simular and we may be actually seeing the same thing, just from different angles.

Interesting post! As a Huntress, I am keenly aware of the animal or beast that lies within me ... and do not deny nor object to its existence. In fact, I've learned to glory in it. It has brought me much satisfaction.

Here I lie as the Huntress, stripped of all humanity save the hunger that roars as a lion inside of me ...

Hehehehehehe !

The hunting or being hunted is scary stuff but regarding the kid comment I have one thing to say, "NA NA NA NA NA NAAAA" and animal comment, "Woof!" {=}

just a squirrel trying to get a nut

the hunted or being hunted, hmmmm, Grandma used to tell me to let the girls chase you until you catch them, does that ease the hunter becoming the hunter a little?

I liked comment about intuition.think this is a trait that separates us from animals. The 'animal' quality you speak of is of course Lust. this is the animal comparison quality.
Most animals don't know love or intimacy.

reverend21 replies on 4/22/2006 2:35 am:
Wolves, primates, eagles, there are quite a few animals that mate for life, i'm not sure I would not call that love.
