Going to Buttonwillow racetrack in November

Signed up for my second high performance drive experience (HPDE) at Buttonwillow racetrack near Bakersfield, CA November 4-6 with SVTOA, for Mustang Cobras and other racy Ford machines. Great fun and quite reasonable at $275 for a weekend with a race car instructor by your side telling you how to improve your driving.

You gain a new appreciation of high speed driving and the talent and focus of professional drivers. The physical demands are significant even with the advances of modern cars, which have more comforts than true race cars. The g forces and rapid decision making in a fast changing environment are mentally and phsically fatiguing.

In the HPDE you drive for only a few minutes at a time and do not try to race or pass. Not change gears, not heel and toe or trail brake. So much less taxing than true racing, yet still hard to perform for a novice.

Great fun and relatively safe adrenaline rush!

Have you ever considered Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Chandler, AZ as a possible alternative to Buttonwillow? Experience an adrenaline rush during the day and an endorphine release during the night.

I may try that, but Bondurant is considerably more expensive! After I win my next case perhaps!
