Classic Rock and Roll songs

I love rock music and appreciate some songs so much that I consider them "perfect". A perfect rock song has that blend of attitude, originality, a perfect sound and arrangement that just tickles your brain and hooks you in. One of my favorite examples is Carl Perkins: Blue Suede Shoes!

Blue Suede Shoes - Song Lyrics

Originally performed by Carl Perkins

It hit # 2 in 1956, it was also a #1 hit on the country chart

Also done by Elvis Presley in 1956, this version only hit # 20

Remade in 1973 by Johnny Rivers, it reached # 33 on the Top 40 charts

Well it's a one for the money,
Two for the show,
Three to get ready, now go cat go and don't cha,
Step on my blue suede shoes.
You can do anything but stay off of my blue suede shoes.

Well you can knock me down,
Step on my face,
Slander my name all over the place.
Do anything that you wanna do,
But uh huh honey lay off of them shoes,
and don't cha,
Step on my blue suede shoes
You can do anything, but stay off of my blue suede shoes.

Well you can rob my house,
Steal my car,
Drink my liquor from an old fruit jar,
Do anything that you wanna do,
But uh huh honey lay off of them shoes,
and don't cha,
Step on my blue suede shoes
You can do anything but stay off of my blue suede shoes.

Well it's a...blue, blue, blue suede shoes baby,
Blue blue, blue suede shoes honey,
Blue blue, blue suede shoes darlin'
Blue blue, blue suede shoes,
Well you can do anything but stay off of my blue suede shoes.
