the big brick house

I finally got to go tour the big cool-looking brick house. I was disappointed. I made my dad go along with me to make sure I didn't sign any papers, but sheesh, that wasn't even a problem. Whoever turned that house into a duplex ruined it. Because it had been converted, all the rooms were tiny. Neither of the apartments had much space and it would have cost me tons to revert it back to a single house. Not worth it. The next house I might be looking at is thought to have been a duplex years ago, but is now a single house. Now I'm not that damn picky. I know my price range is for fixer-uppers to begin with.

My next tour house looks like it has a pretty interesting set-up and I think part of the reason why it's in my price range is because it's in what is considered to be drug dealer territory. I went to college once, so drug dealers are nothing new to me...heheh. Besides, it's along the fray and close to the main drag where less crime happens anyway.
It's close to a public park, which paranoid people see as a dangerous aspect of it. To me this just means my cat would have her choice of fat squirrels to watch. I am not being dumb and naive. I am being realistic. Crime can happen anywhere. And the house has a porch.

That sucks about the brick house.... I'm sure something will come up.. at some point..

You're right about crime happening anywhere..remember when S.K. caught kids breaking into cars downtown and they shot him???? And Lock Haven isn't even that big of an area...

Yep. I remember when that happened. There are just as many drug dealers here in the hicksville area as there are in the city anyhow. Besides, I think it would be fun to live by the park. I could sit out on the porch and watch other people exercise..lol
