That's all that we need to make it work

Here are five simple strategies that will help us make our long distance relationship stronger.

Make your intentions clear
The biggest mistake you can ever make is having your friends/lovers not know how you really feel. Any ambiguous thoughts will leave your partner with no direction as to where the relationship is going. Honestly, if you care for him/her and want to stay with him/her despite the distance, tell him/her how you feel. It’s as simple as that.

Set up a schedule:
Since you are far away from each other, you need to take the initiative and set up a schedule or time when you will be able to chat (for us it blog). It don’t matter even if it’s for ten minutes every night and the conversation is about nothing, you need to set that time aside to show that he/she is important to you and that together, you’ll be able to make it through in the relationship.

Make yourself busy:
Without that special someone in your life, you can easily slide into a downward spiral and live in your own personal hell. So, the free time that you have should not be used sulking around your place whining over the fact that you can’t be with him/her. Get up and do something that you always wanted to do, whatever it is, make the commitment and go do it.

Don’t be an idiot:
Cheating on your significant other because he/she is in another state, country or continent is still cheating. Being the better person and letting a potential hook-up fall to the wayside is going to make you feel better about yourself and shows that you believe that your relationship is going to make it.

Probably the most important part of any relationship happens to be this last point . You have to believe that when your partner tells you through a phone call or email that he/she is going to go to the clubs tonight, he/she is going to have a fun time, but will also be faithful to you. Well trust him. Racking your brain over how he/she might be grinding on some one, you shouldn’t be in that relationship. While jealousy has it’s place, but you have to realize that you don’t control your partner and everything he/she says and does.

That's all that we need to make it work.
