A Prayer to the Goddess

Being that it is Sunday, the day organized religions have chosen to use as a holy day I figured i would share some prayers to the Goddess that I believe are very beautiful.

I am not Wicca, but I am pulled to learn and know more of the Goddess. In my research I have found many prayers that are beautiful, but in the end I believe the most beautiful prayer is the prayer that come from YOUR heart.

A Prayer to the Goddess

Mother of us all,

Thank you for watching over all your creatures,

For giving us our life and breath and being.

Out of the goodness of your own body we are born,

From the goodness of your body we are nourished and sustained,

Back to the safety of your arms we return at journey's end.

All is love, our Mother's love. Blessed be

I know the Laws of Nature are you, Lady.
Keep me mindful that I step upon Your Body,
with your feet,
that my sorrows are Your sorrows,
and that a healthy priest makes all things sound.
I feel Your breath in the wind, and Your hand in mine.
Keep me sincere.
Give me Your work,
which is to be joyous,
and to tend all things, because all things live, of themselves,
and with Your spirit.
Your will through mine, so mote it be.

Morning Prayer
O Gracious Goddess,
O Gracious God,
Lend me health, strength and love
During this coming day.
Share your divine wisdom.
Teach me to respect all things.
Remind me that the greatest power of all is love.
Blessed Be.

For use as a daily affirmation or ritual invocation.

Beloved Goddess of the silver moon!
Mistress of mysteries - Queen of the sea!
I call upon thee in ancient names -
Artemis, Cerridwen, Hecate!

Beloved Sister of the hidden wood!
Child enchantress - Star of the night!
I call upon thee of the untamed wilds -
Descend with your laughter and secret delight!

Beloved Mother of the ageless womb
From which the many worlds, at once, were born!
I call upon thee of the gentle Earth -
From whose breast, and whose belly our bounty is shorn.

Beloved Wisewoman, spinner of fates!
Weaver of dreamwebs -- the bearer of death!
I call upon thee of the waning skies -
Grant me your vision and open my eyes!

Goddess - I ask thee to live within me!
Grant me your knowing, and show me to see!
Lend me your wisdom and love for all things -
Goddess of magick, I call unto thee!

Artemis, Cerridwen, Hecate!
Artemis, Cerridwen, Hecate!

repeat softly until her presence is felt
