Dead man walking

Today was the day to clear out my personal stuff from my office for the move to Siberia.

Amazing how one can suddenly be "invisible". In and out of the building with boxes of my stuff...my certificates and framed letters, my print, my little ship collection...and no one would even hold the door for me to exit the building.

Wanted to burn one of the ships and leave it by the door.

Final artifact removed was my "animal phantasmagorico"...a nightmare dragon carved by Indians in southern Mexico which I use to ward off evil spirits.

Turned in my keys.

No one would look me in the eyes. Like I was a leper and any contact would be contaminating.

Dead man walking....

Yep. There's a political purge going on. No one wants to be seen with the exile. They might get sent to Siberia, too.

Well Puntachueca, just think of this as a door closing, but another one opening.. Imagine how many stories you're going to be able to tell us about the beginning of the next chapter in your life!

Loveme

Yep. Just a sad day. So many good people in the organization whose whopes were smashed by a couple of nasty politicians.

Hell, do a lot of reading at work, get stoned all day, get a fridge and a TV out there. Collect a check and relax a bit before your next adventure. Joe

Really sorry to hear this! Sounds like you had the same kind of day my daughter had. Her and I worked at the same place. I was going outside this afternoon for break and I heard someone yell out my name. I turned around and there was my sweet daughter in tears, carrying her "box" being escorted off the premises! My heart is broken for her.......and for you. Why does life have to be this way?

cause the "bosses" don't care about people. we're just numbers.

Been there. Happened once when every person in the department had either been hired by me, or promoted from a shit job to a position of responsibility. Not a one ever even called afterward with a word of sympathy. I don't make "friends" with people I work with any more.

Good luck.

it is a shity world when one can't develop a team of people who collaborate and work together. very abuse stuff management does to people.

at least your personal property wasn't sorted thru before you left, right? and no armed escort out to your car? and in siberia, you'll have the run of the place, having the company of the flamingos?
sorry about the end of this run, but on the next run, try to cause some (under the radar) mischief!
good luck, friend!

When I moved into the office I had everything of mine tagged so it was clear it was mine...and gave them a check list as I left.

Since the management isn't inclined to comply with federal law, and I work exclusively now interfacing between them and the feds....you'll probably be reading about them in the newspaper.

They are a strange bunch..they think they are totally immune from "outside" rules.

I think they probably just didn't know what to say to ya. If I had been there, I would have said

"I will miss your wee face and good luck on your new post" I didn't even find that hard to type there.

Bye everyone, it was a blast

I'm very sorry that happened to you at your age. At least you didn't have to go job hunting. Who knows, you might enjoy not having a boss looking over your shoulder-- only the pink flamings. Best wishes. You didn't even get a gold watch? Not even a gold-dipped one? Bah, humbug!

Don't you have more privacy out in the new shed?

Things to do in siberia.
It's just a matter of time til you are out of the job anyway so.
Look for a new job.
Toss one off.
Add to your list of things you want in a lady.
Start working on serious plans for your exotic dancer training school.
Toss off again.
Practice meditation through masturbation.
Go pee.
Decorate your space.
Write long thoughtful blog posts.
Work on the blueprints/stages/ideas for your new/old house.
Look up a place called Vivaria its in the netherlands so it ends with nl and browse the indoor water falls, learn from Peter there.
Write a poem.
Find out ways to save money.
Look for good heat resistant veggie strains so you can feed yourself after you lost the job.
Toss off.

Hopefully by then it's either lunchtime or the end of the workday.

Invest in Viagra so you can toss off as much as I have prescribed, and buy a good non-irritating body lotion.
Stock up on kleenex.

Toss off.
