So You've Had A Bad Day

Bad days. The type of day where you just shouldn't get out of the bed. I know that we have all have them. Today is my turn to have a bad day.

First, I over slept. Then, I couldn't find my eyeglasses next to the bed. (For those of you who don't know it already...I'm blind as a bat without my contacts or my glasses.) I blindly found my way to the bathroom and asked my husband for his assistance in looking for my glasses. He gave me his helpful advise by saying "If you put them in the same place all the time...you'll be able to find them." Once he found them, he followed up his helpful advise with remarking on my pile of clothes still lying on the floor from the night before. He hates that. Being that I had just woken up...I was not amused and short tempered.

Needless to say, that was just the beginning. I went to pour the coffee, that I always make the night before, only to find that less than a full cup existed. "PUFF-HUFF." So, I made another pot. While making another pot of coffee, I broke a nail.

I made my son his breakfast. He then, tells me he isn't hungry. Meanwhile, I begin dressing so I can drive him to school and noticed one of my favorite blue T-shirts now has bleach spots all over it. "AHHH...FUCK IT!" Tie-dye is still in style, right?

Once home, I "think" I can turn this day around. I pour myself some coffee and head off to the computer room to post my blogs and connect with my blog family. (I just know that you all can put me in a great and at the very least, a horny mood.) I proceed to sign on and....NOTHING...ZIP...NADA. I cannot connect with the site. MOTHER OF THE GREAT GODS!!!! My mind thinks to the TV commercials for the "GEEK SQUAD." "NOOOO... FIX MY COMPUTER!!!!"

Well, needless to say, I have fixed the problem. Just as I start my blog...the phone rings. "PUFF-HUFF"
I think..."I'm working here!!!" It's my Mom. Dear Mom. Finish with the call. The phone rings again. GRRRR! It's the "drama queen" who only holds one-sided conversations. As I hold the receiver away from my ear and she continues to rant and rave about all the so called horrors in her life. With my occasional Hmm...okay...really...wow...I'm soon off the phone again. The phone rings again. GRRRR! This time it's my ex-husband wanting to moan and groan over something...anything! I tell him that I'm busy and cannot talk. As I began to write this blog, the phone rang once again. However, this time I was very happy to take the call. It was my husband. I apologized for my bad mood this morning and he told me what a bad day he is having at work.

Boy, this shit is really contagious!!

Tell me what do you all do when you are having a bad day?

Do you go back to bed or do you try to find a way to turn it around?

Usually I can't go back to bed. Today is so-so. My sister and parents were gonna go to Tuscon today, but mom needs to get a prescription for a shot to thin her blood since it's too thick right now. She has heart problems. We should be able to go tomorrow.

Lately I have had a few too many bad days. I wish I could just turn the AC down really low, pull the covers up over my head and hibernate. Okay, actually I would love to do that but add a very well endowed man that loves to eat pussy.... There we go. That is what I would do if I had a choice on how to make my day better... I don't get that choice though. So, I just try to make the best of the day.

Sassy I'm with you! Trouble is....usually a bad day, means no sex.

There is the option of sexing it away, unfortunately will have to be a singular effort. A bath is wonderful, coffee and some light reading. Something to take my mind off the gloom and doom. If I don't feel like talking, I don't answer the phone, that's what voice mail is for. If it's important, they'll leave a message.

Deeppinkk great ideas and you touched on something I forgot....Why do I have voicemail, if I don't use it? Thank you!!

Sorry to hear you had a crappy day, mine started off the same way, heard the rain, didn't want to get out of bed, was late to work, etc. Typically, when I have a bad day I shut out the world curl up with a good book and lose myself for a few hours. I know that's harder to do with a family but definitely try some you time. Hope you cheer up soon NSA

NSA...not to worry...even the snow this morning didn't bother me. Sometimes I guess you just have to go with the flow...even if the flow leads into the toilet!

I NEVER go back to bed. I just push through it...

I am totally sympathetic... Though I must say, the first thing that came to mind when you referred to your husband complaining about the clothes on the floor was that you could have said: "Did you know that most accidental deaths occur in the home?"

Have a wacky rest of your day!

Thank you sweetie!!! I'm saving your quote for the next time I get his helpful advise.

If it makes you feel any better, my day was bad too. I push through the day and occasionally zone out and go to my happy place. With that said there was no f***ing happy place today. So here I am cranky as can be and once the kids go to bed I am taking a Benadryl, putting on a movie, and staying on the couch.

Here is to hoping that we have a better day tomorrow!

pragmaticCTcpl replies on 4/5/2006 8:38 am:
No. It didn't make me feel good to hear you were having a shitty day too. Next time, let's do internet coffee together and we can either make each other laugh or be miserable together. Hope your have a better day today. *HUGS AND KISSES*

Ah the bad day blues ! I usually take it out on everyone around me until there is no one left whom I care about left talking to me . However I have seen the error of my ways and am trying myself to come up with a new less hostile takeover approach !!! So when you get some new ideas I will be a willing student !

Huggs for you !!

Bad days are like bad moods - all natural and non preventable. (Is that a word???) I just accept that things are gonna suck that day, then feel relieved that, once it's over, I've paid that particular due and can move on.

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

I'm just thankful that there is always tomorrow. It would be HELL if life was like the movie "Groundhog Day."
