Can't Get You Out Of My Head

We have all had it happen to us at one time or another. We hear a song and we cannot get the song out of our head. Sometimes it lasts for just a day...sometimes longer. The song and the lyrics stick with us. Even if we don't know all the words. In some cases, we may like the song. In others, we may hate it. Either way...we can't lose the damn tune.

This week, this happened to me.

The song...

Dani California by the Red Hot Chili Peppers

Thankful, I like the song. Since yesterday, I've found my mind drifting to the beat and to the lyrics. While cooking...while talking...while watching television...while taking a shower and blogging.

My husband isn't so lucky. He has had a song force feed to him for months from his office muzak system. Or as he refers to it, "Music to kill yourself to." He has repeatedly had to hear a particular song that he cannot stand, and it follows him everywhere.

The song....

Bad Day by Daniel Powter

I'll be talking to my husband at work and he'll say, "Oh, there is that stupid song again!!! Cause you had a bad day, dah-dah-dah-dah!!!!"

What is the last song that has stuck in your head?

I'm off to read the blogs and sing a tune, whether I like it or not...

"California rest in peace...Simultaneous release...California show your teeth...She's my priestess, I'm your priest...Yeah, yeah!!"

I've had Do your ears hango low stuck in my head for two days There's a new hiphop song out that has kids singing it with different lyrics (do your chains hang low) and after hearing it once both those two versions and the dirty one do your balls hang low, do they wobble to and fro... have been shuffling in my head on repeat! It makes me laugh at the moment

The theme song from Gilligan's Island... yep, when songs start sticking in my head, it's time to blasphemize them in a Twisted Tune! That seems to work, but that's just me... sometimes Twisted!

You may come up with a great commerical tune...who knows?

"How to save a life" by The Frey has been running around in my mind for days now, maybe cause that's how I feel.

But, thanks to Magahee, I got that stupid meow mix song going. Little bastard, I'm gonna taser his ass for this, LOL

We are not the football team by Minus the Bear. The whole thing is just dippy enough to make me smile.

I have a couple of Thin Lizzy tunes stuck in my head as of late. I'm OK with that. I'm OK with Dani California if it moves in. But, I swear to God, I will start slaughtering baby hampsters if that fucking Bad Day tune takes up residence thanks to you!!!!

Ah, Its you again, Your Angel Feathers and your Blood Stains...

What is it about you and little creatures with fur? First bunnies, now hamsters. PETA would have a field day with your ass!
