What's your handle mean?

Hi Play Friends,

Please tell me (us) how you came about choosing your handle and what it represents.

Well hun.. I agonized long over it and resolved that it's a good description of me in one "word".. lol

Of course as I am a very complex and deep person... there are many other potential "words" that could also describe me.. *W*

Sporty (and fun, for you and me)

"Almondnut" acutally began as "Almondmilk". Its a tasty non-dairy drink. I wanted a non-sexual handle for personal reasons.

Interesting post. Mine stems from the fact that I have been raising three children alone for almost 9 years now and have had to feed them over all that time.

Mine means just what it says.

While there are some things I won't do it is really rare to find anyone on this site who wants them.

I am up for just about anything (sexual).

Borsdengraal--I took some classes while stationed in the UK on the Arthurian Legends. The courses consisted at going to the various places where the legends supposedly occurred. I've read almost everything regarding the legends, and there are some characters who get a lot of attention. First, Arthur, of course, it is the story of the king and his accomplishments. Next, Lancelot and in the same breath one must mention Guinevier. Gallahad, the perfect knight, and Percival, the one in the movie Excalibur who returns with the secret of the Grail. However, in all the texts, it was Bors, cousin to Lancelot who was the only one to survive and return as a Knight of the Round Table to tell Arthur of the Secret of the Grail. Gallahad died and went to Heaven upon learning of the Grail's secret, Percival "cut his thigh" and joined a hermitage, but Bors succeeded where the others failed (in my opinion). There is conjecture that Bors may have been married, although it is stronger that he knew of women and was not celibate. He was powerful, articulate, and righteous, something we all should strive for. Bors was a noble knight, forsaking saving his brother who was fighting for his life, to rescue a little old lady, who later turned out to be a fairy queen. So, since the story Parzival was put into German, I used the Germanic Bors of the Grail. And that is the story of my handle.

dbdranger2 - well, its the initials of my name, along with the fact that I can relate to the Lone Ranger somedays. LOL. A ranger, someone who seeks truth out in the final frontier. A ranger is someone who knows how to treat a lady like a lady and make her feel like a woman. Sort of the American version of the Knight in shinging armour.

My handle comes from the car I drive primarily. It has since developed into a personality of its own. I'm the moderator of a large group that hosts social fuctions in the chicago area and it has been my good fortune to come into contact with many very wonderful people.

Elysia is derivative of the "Elysian Fields" - in Greek mythology, the afterlife where heroes favored by the gods were sent. Rather lofty of me, no? And yet when I want to, I can be an angel, or a little taste of heaven. 2005, because just plain Elysia was already claimed.

Mine's a nickname that was used by a very special lady I 'knew' during my years in college. She was a highly creative, and patient, 'educator'.

In the late 70's I use to have fun on the CB and my handle was twinky. Before I understood any computer lingo my teen kids at the time use to make fun of me because I called their screen names handles. So when I noticed this site asked for a handle instead of screen name it came right to me. As for twinky it is because I was/am thin, sweet, sqeazable and cream filled and one of nic names from friends growing up and my favorite age then was 14...WOW... lived to tell about it!
