A late night beer and a blog

Oh man! What a day... I'm trying to finalize the syllabi for all of my university classes for the 2006-07 academic year and it's rather tedious. I decided to take a break, have a beer, and post an entry in my blog. By the way, Kona Brewing Co. from Hawaii sells some excellent beers here in Tokyo. Right now, I'm drinking the Longboard Island Lager and in the words of Ishizuka-san...MAYUUUUU!

What should I write about? Hmmm...ah, I got it. A woman in the Japan chat room asked me one day what my handle meant. A few years ago, when I was still modeling men's underwear, I was exercising twice a day, 5 days a week and I was getting crazy definition. My bodyfat was down to 3% at a bodyweight of 85kg (I'm around 180cm tall) and you could see the veins in my thighs. Actually, this wasn't good for underwear modeling, 'cause you want to look more normal than freaky. Anyhow, this Filipina at Gold's Gym (and no, I ain't gonna tell you the location - ha ha ha) came up to me and said, "Damn! You one buff guy!" I've used it as a nickname of sorts ever since.

Anyhow, I'm not a ripped as I used to be. I enjoy eating nice food and spirits too much and dieting is not much fun. Now, my bodyfat is around 8% at a bodyweight of 90kg. I don't feel big, but when I stand next to Japanese men, people say I look huge. But I feel average for an American, especially when I go back to the States and see junior high boys with full beards standing a good 3 inches taller than me. I like my size - women don't seem to mind either. An ex of mine once told me that she loved being with a "bigger" man, 'cause she felt more feminine and she liked the feeling of my hard body in comparison to her soft, gentle curves. Also, she liked that I could easily lift her up and support her in some more acrobatic sexual positions...but that's another blog for another time...

It's past my bedtime! Gotta hit the sack, but sadly alone...
