I'd love to, but ...

Letterwriting is one of my passions, even though most people cannot keep up with the mass that I write or, according to some, with the depth of my writing when it comes to some subjects. I generally write a six page letter (or type, if they have problems with my handwriting which, to be perfectly honest, looks like a spider crawled across the page) but have been known to write more. My record, as I recall, is seventy-four pages - small handwriting, A4 sheets of paper.

So occasionally I go out and browse through the sites offering penpals, or penfriends, and see whether it is a site of worth which might produce a few new friends for me, to make up for those who couldn't stand the pace.

Through AdultFriendFinder I found FriendFinder, which should hardly surprise since they are the same company, and there are links and adverts all over the place as well as the chance to win points for joining. I click over to the registration page, and my details are automatically brought across too. Click to the second page and find my introduction from here, there. Re-write it slightly - the sites do, after all, have a different target audience - and click on register.

Not even an error message or something to tell me that my application has been refused, rejected, re-worked. The link goes as far as the second registration page and then it dies the death.

So what's the point? I've already been rejected from other linked sister sites, I guess they know me only too well now and, rather than bother themselves sending a rejection e-mail, just don't let me over the first hurdle.

This afternoon I shall finish writing my letter to an 18 year old girl in Hungary, and then wander off to the other penfriend sites I have bookmarked and see what's new. For these FriendFinder sites, sorry, but I can't be bothered any more. I'll stick with what I've got and spend my money elsewhere.

Sorry you haven't had a good experience with AdultFriendFinder. I have been on AdultFriendFinder for about 3 weeks now and enjoy it emensly and looking forward to continuing to do so. Good luck with your letter writing.....

Oh, there are many problems with AdultFriendFinder, but this one was with linking through to the sister organisation FriendFinder. It's no loss, I'm also quite happy here, where I am, and, as you might see from a post which follows shortly, the cash I would have invested in FriendFinder has been put to much better use.
