A Relationship Undefined

Recently, I have done really well! I met a dear, sweet, "girl next door" type woman that has a fire engine red streak of sexy to her.

From my Walking Away post of August 9th.

It is said, let there be patience.

"Eyes" and I met today for lunch and ultimately went to see a movie (Step Up). There were brief, frank discussions about our relationship, but overall, we had a very good time despite our recent setbacks.

Clearly our relationship has taken a huge step back, but we enjoy each others company enough to continue spending time together.

Sex and intimacy seem so far away now.

She will be working soon and my world may be in total upheaval in six weeks (details as they become available) so while I suggested a weekend getaway, it was met with a timid response rather then the enthusiastic affirmation it would have received three weeks ago.

Early in our relationship, I was the one that encouraged her to live for each moment and not worry about the future. Now I am the one concerned about the days to come while she tells me to relax and then proceeds to kick my ass in Ping-Pong. Go figure!

My undefined relationship has become even less Webster-like than I could ever imagine.

I always knew the kind of relationship you defined and described in your earlier blogs was one I would not be able to be in. I need it one way or the other. No emotion, fuck me silly sex or I want the whole package. There is little room for in-between, unless I just kinda like you and want to have sex while I wait for my prince to come along and sweep me off my feet. Damn........I'm way to honest at times
I'm sure it might work for some people, I just know myself well enough to know what doesn't work for me.
Good luck!!!

As usual, you are so correct. I rode this one as far as I could. Back on the board in a couple of weeks.....

Don't take anything out of context. Take a look at the next post to see the reference.

We humans are odd ducks at times...we change our minds...that is why I like knowing where I stand with someone no second guessing otherwise please don't waste my time, energy, life and emotions...life is difficult enough...
Good luck,

I enjoyed every bit of this one Flo. It is a shame that it ended.
