Why make plans?

Ugghhh my plans for the end of this month just went up in flames. was informed that my planned trip for the trade show in vegas was canceled. was so looking forward to that and just when it seemed that they would approve it they yanked it. and they couldn't just come out and give me all the details. no that would be too easy. still don't have the impotent details like exactly who, what, when, where but they have me on a new trip. looks like i'm going to Hawaii. woohoo. at least it was until they came back later and gave me another tidbit of info. at least 3-4 destinations in a week. Hawaii then maybe new mexico and someplace else. going to be spending more time in airplanes then feet on the ground anywhere. so no vegas, might only see the beaches in Hawaii from the plane, plans to help a good friend move in jeopardy, could even screw up cinco de mayo. hopefully i'll know more tomorrow

If you do end up in Hawaii (Not just flying over!) - let me know, I might be able to be a remote tour guide!

Oooo - so if you don't sleep at all, you might have some fun! I assume you'll be in Waikiki... Blaisdell center? Or hotel convention centers?

If you are stuck in Waikiki for only a night or two you are pretty much screwed and only get to do touristy things - the International Marketplace would be a good start they have some small shows and stuff there as well as all sorts of crap to buy.

Believe it or not, a walk at night on the Waikiki's beach is nice too - stay in lighted/public areas though... And you might wander through some hotel's shows...

If you have daylight left over when you are done - I would highly recommend a hike up Diamond Head, its not too tough, or too far from Waikiki and its cool to say that you've done it. Not to mention the view is incredible! (Take water!)

If this link gets through - it is fairly comprehensive of fun things to do:
